No, not for me, but for Doug Teskey. Thanks to a tip from FWKRTJ, who found Doug working for the Elmira Jackals as a corporate sales rep. Good for Doug.
Also, the Memorial Coliseum has pictures of the new locker rooms up on its web site. Some of you were asking, so I put a bug in Randy Brown's ear and he jumped right on it.

Everybody have a safe and relaxing last weekend of the offseason. I plan on it.

So did they rebuild the locker rooms or did they just put in new paint, lights, bathroom stuff...? Looks great.
Thanks for the pictures!! ..I just thought there would be more orange and black..
They basically just refurbished everything. New showers, bathrooms, well, everything. The structure itself was not changed.
Were those pics of the Komet's locker room or visitors?
Those are all of the Komets' rooms. The team has three rooms under there. The first few are of the back room where the players change and shower. The last one is of the main locker room where they meet and put on their uniforms and such. The third room, which is not pictured, is the trainer's room. It's a pretty amazing difference, and I wish I had before pictures to show you as well. It looks pretty sterile right now, but once all the little touches are finished it's much more homey.
The Coliseum did a really nice job. This is a major improvement over the old, dated fixtures that was in there before. It looks more like a NHL or AHL locker room.
It looks nice, but I'm not so sure it looks like an NHL lockroom.
How about Brown and Franke splitting the cost and putting up some protective nets on the ends that people can see thru. (Like they have at McMillen and K-Zoo. Netting that I was told by Brown just doesn't exist.)
we who sit on the ends are penalized by having to watch the games thru that horrible netting. the worst part is that we pay the same money as the people who dont have this obstruction! plus on give aways to the crowd, we are hardly ever involved as they are usually out of things by the time they come back to us. scoop and the poopers do get stuff in our end but they are about the only ones.
hey chuckitt you choose to sit here. no one is forcing you it sit in those sections.
ive sat in that section since before you were born cause i think its the best place to see plays develop. i didnt ask to be obstructed, it was forced on me. they are now obstructed seats and i shouldnt have to pay the same as those with clear views.
We have to look through the cheese-grater every game when there is a perfect solution to put up a net that is less obstructive like the darker colored ones that are used in all the other arenas in the league and in the NHL. Why on Earth they chose the one they did I'll never know, and they also left the corners wide open as well. How many times have we all seen someone not paying any attention in the corners get drilled? 15-20 times easily last season...that I saw on my end. I know that they tryed their best to get a net up, but there is a safer and better alternative out there, why not get those nets now?
I think those locker rooms are really ugly. I don't really think they look nice at all. But I guess the important thing is that all the appliances and carpet and stuff is new.
Off the radar but rumour has it that the dormant AHL franchise that used to be in Cincy is going to move to the Windsor area in the near future.
Last I heard the Cincinatti team was coming back next season....hmmmmm
From Transactions:
AHL
I thought I would post the above as a reminder to Jim that I still know everything LOL.
Soooo....is there room in Cincy for a UHL team?? My thought is no since there is already an ECHL team there
