Patrosso smashed right into a Mallard when he came out of the penalty box. He sat on the end of the bench with his head down for a long time, and then headed back to the dressing room. Any news or status update available?
He and Danko are probably going on 10-day IR.

JB, I was told after the game he suffered a possible concussion and will most likely be headed to the IR for a little bit. Came from the hit where he collided with a Mallard right after coming out of the box

Komets looked good.
2 of the QC goals were weak, they rolled up Bouchers arms and into the net.
Russo was a Wall when he went into the game. He reminded me how lucky we were last season that he wasn't with Port Huron in the playoffs......or it wouldn't have been a 3 peat.
Quad City showed me something.....they are on a 7 in 9 day string or something like that, have been riding the bus alot, and are struggling....They went down 5-1, and they battled hard. The 3rd period was fierce from both teams as both were grinding and hitting and scratching and clawing to pull that game out.
That is what it takes in this league, you have to show up and play and plan on playing a full game.....no 71% efforts in this league. No room to take shifts or games off.
I notice one big thing in this league, it is a moving around on the ice league, much unlike the hockey we saw in the IHL2. The IHL2 you would see alot of nights where both teams would have players camping out in one spot, all most like taking a position on the ice and staying there most of the time.....Not here in the CHL......it is movement, and skating, and pressuring the puck.
I like this CHL.

K's looked bad the first 10 minutes of the game, then got hot, then let off the accelorator for a bit, then finished strong. Good things happen when your aggresive and crash the net. If Schrock wasnt all over the place, he was camped on the goalies doorstep.
I like how hard Naurato plays even though the season hasnt gone quite to plan so far for him offensively. He gets under guys skin it would appear.
What was the deal with the K's jawing at Giosa(#23) all night? Then #24 was hot at the end of the game. Rivalry re-kindling???? Old IHL, we may have seen a lil brawl at the end of the game last night... The poor water bottles never had a chance...lol
Scratching one out against a QC team that has played 7 in 9 isn't that impressive. Schrock had a great game. Made Axtell look like a complete idiot. (Not that he needed help)... Dude looks like a dinosaur on skates. How he scored a goal is beyond me.
Delisle is starting to get on my nerves.
Bobby Phillips is standing up physically a lot more this season. He took care of business in his fight.
Leo took a beating in front of the net on several occasions.
That referee won't be getting any calls from the AHL anytime soon.
Quad City isn't very talented. If the scored the way they mouthed off, they'd be in first place.
Not seeing in Delisle what Columbus did that makes him worth almost half a million a year to them. Is it just me?
A week and a half ago I stated that the Komets needed 8-10 points over this stretch of 5 in 6 games at home and after last weekend it was looking gloomy. Now 6 points this holiday weekend and 14 goals in 3 games things are looking better. They did start off slow for the first 10 minutes until Schrocky got them going. I thought Rodger did a good job filling in for Patrosso after he got hurt. And he and Phillips even got into fights and held their own.
Some nights these CHL refs are really awful. The Mallards goalie hits I think Pkillips on the head with his stick knocking his helmet off and the refs aren't even watching. Some obvious missed and terrible calls. Even some of the calls against the Mallards were questionable. But hey a win is a win and we'll take it.
What happened after the game was over? We were walking out and we could hear the crowd boo. I am guessing the Mallards were being poor sports and started something stupid.
About Delisle.... I think the guy was injured early in training camp and came to the K's when he got off the IR... I think he's working out the kinks. He's your typical rookie D-man. Goes thru patches where he looks really good and then some where he looks aweful. I think he should get the same 3+ year pass that Warner has gotten so far...
the duckies threw there water bottles on the ice KometKrazy. it was completely intimidating! lol
What was bad about it....they threw them on the ice, Coach stood there and watched a 12 year old Fort Wayne waterboy have to go onto the ice and clean their mess-up.
The Ref was not going to call boarding on the Rodger hit from behind.....they did get the call right after several minutes of discussion, but the ref never raised his arm before Rodger got up and went crazy.
I saw Leo take cheapshots 3 different times right in front of the ref, and Leo ended up in the box afterwards at least twice.
You guys might not be impressed with 3 wins....but I will take these 3 wins and 14 goals scored instead of the 1 -2 goals a game thing we were doing against basically the same level of competition.
Maybe this gets them going.....I think they looked alot different in this new system.
Funny that the system was not the problem for the first 11 games, right? Kudos to Al for changing things up.
Dang, looks like I picked the wrong game to miss! I'm in Nebraska hanging out with the boyfriend's family, but my sister got to go to her first game in years! I think she had fun, maybe she'll want to go again sometime. Thanks BLB for the updates!

Going into Wichita playing a team in a new beautiful large building that won only 9 games last year. They need to show they can beat last years CHL teams and this as good as any a place to start.
