Nickname line

PA guy extroidinaire Larry Schmitt came up with this one boys and girls:

``I have come up with the ultimate line name for Schrock, Woods, and MacMillan. I just came up with this 5 seconds ago and you have the scoop. I'm not even going to put it on Facebook yet so no one can steal the claim. Rock (Schrock), Paper (Woods), Scissors (MacMillan (because he cut my hair and he is hard as steel)). Well, What do ya think? Do we have a winner?''

What do you guys think?

Gotta think about it. I know it's not the intent but Woods is not a paper tiger, a twist someone else (chirping on the ice or opposing press for example) could put on it. On the other hand that could be fun too.

Having said that I don't have a better idea.

I prefer something else for the New Age Hanson Bros.

How about that nice boo the crowd rained down on Al for pulling them off the ice..

The only reason I made Woods paper was because of the obvious (paper is made of wood). One of those spur of the moment ideas I knew Blake would get a kick out of. If we wanted to do a "Big Bang Theory" take on it, we could use Guy as Spock but not sure who Lizard would be. Any thoughts?

Doesn't do much for me. Prefer something more colorful with a catch line, like the "Lullaby Line" - They'll sing you a song that you never forget, or maybe "The Mechanics" - They'll give you a tuneup that will last forever. Rock, Paper, Scissors? I don't think so.

Speaking of paper, why did Woods fold when that Quad Cities guy stared him down the other night? Just not in shape yet? Schrock was in there in an instant though to protect him just in-case. I was kind of surprised. That's not the Woods I remember and hopefully not the Woods we've signed. It was good to see him get an assist with very little ice time. I'll take a goal over a fight any night.

This is kind of obscure, but since I've been there, I like it.

The "Dune Ride" line
http://www.macwoodsdunerides.com/

How does Schrock fit in? Well, it says their first dune scooter was made from a Model A Ford, and Ford bought Lincoln, right? I know, I know... stretching...

So many ways to go with this one. You could use "The Assembly Line" tying Fort Wayne's automotive history but this time using a Lincoln, a Mac(k), and a Woodie. And they are lunch pail kinda guys anyways.

Frozen water give woods a break. He has been out of skating for over a year or more. It will take time for him to get back into shape and when he does look out he will be the woods that we know.

Add Keith Rodger to the mix and you'd have the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

For those of you interested in the Bloomington - Muskegon fights last night see http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/hockey/professional/minor/ihl/prairiethunder/article_bbddca2a-0e28-11df-9dee-001cc4c002e0.html . Boomington obviously wanted to fight. The statement in the paper "Thunder enforcers Justin Sawyer, Robin Gomez and Mike Liambas came out for the puck drop and the fists started flying." says it all. Unforunately, we may need our rumble line against Bloomington if the league doesn't put an end to all of the Prairie Thunder's goonery soon.

Mac has shown he can take care of "Shrek" Sawyer. Woods can hold his own with Liambas, and I'd like to see it. Schrock and Gomez would be a good matchup. I'd like to see Rodger or Phillips grab ahold of that Spiller clown too. Skalde is the most overrated coach I can remember for a long time. I do look forward to Bloomington coming to town though.

Rice Krispies, kinda cool JM.

I tried playing around with acronyms from their initials, no luck yet but I'll keep looking at that. Maybe someone else?

The last line like this was The Ice Patrol under Al, maybe something like Ice Control? ICE = Ice Control Incorporated.

Do they need a nickname?

I noticed that too JM, Al got a big booooo from the crowd when he pulled them off the ice when things started to heat up... Unfortunate...

Chaulk looked really good out there friday night. I cant believe the Mallards were giving him so much room out there.

Posted my last comment and had to run an errand. While driving I realized the E in ICE does not = Incorporated. Oh well.

Tim, yeah that works.

JR, of course they need a nickname, it's tradition.
