Using the IR rules strategically ( up to three players can be put on the 30 day IR without counting towards the roster), Burgee on another post stated that with Hukalo and Tarantino on that list the Komets may only have to cut 1 player. If that is true and the management decides to go that way I'm going to predict that the last cut will be a veteran, not a rookie. I don't have any "inside" information but I just have a feeling that the K's do not want to cut any of the rookies they have and that they would like to have a "veteran" spot open. So far, with the exception of them signing Bonneau and Phillips, I have called the cuts correctly. I guess we'll see if I'm thinking along the same lines as management. Of course, if someone would get hurt in the next couple of days my theory will be thrown off.

Alan, I have no insider info either, but I have a feeling on this one too. I definitely think the cut will be someone no one is expecting it to be, and I think it will be a vet as well. But I have certainly been wrong on at least 2 of my cut predictions, the big one being TJ Schneider, mainly because I thought Sims liked him so well. Of course, it's all fun and games, like DSchebig has pointed out, and I am certainly the worst armchair coach there could be, not knowing much about the game. I know enough to love it, but I don't have a lot of years under my belt.

I gave up along time ago. My head was rapped in duct tape ready to explode. I was sure T.J. Schneider was a lock. Big, strong guy who could skate and handle himself. I sure missed that one. Must be those intangables that we never real know about. I do not disagree with any of you about it might be a vet. I choose to keep that real close to the vest. I still have to walk through the locker room. If you get my drift?

Sure, it could be a vet. I don't think anyone should consider themselves "safe" in training camp. But it is also true that Sims and the Frankes put a lot of value on known commodities. So honestly, I have no idea, and I'd rather not speculate about people's lives like that. I wish we could keep 'em all.
