No lights, no problem

The traffic signals were out at two busy intersections on my way to work this morning -- Broadway and Jefferson and Broadway and Washington -- and all the drivers just went into four-way-stop mode. It was very smooth and efficient, no panic or frustration. Why can't we react that way all the time to unforeseen difficulties?

I tend to act that way, rather than merely REact...and I find it works pretty darn well.

I'm also willing to bet that the time those lights were out was BEFORE 11AM...
And I have my reason for saying that.

(my "neighbors" NEVER get up before 11, ergo, NO traffic problems - and if they DO get up earlier, it's only because a warrant is being served at their house...LOL)

The ACSD alarm clock.
Who knew?
