Hey mightbite.. When we getting "our" face smasher?
So in other words 1 or 2 players will get introduced to the fans, play 1 home game for the Komets, then get cut. What kind of incentive does that give a player who knows he may have been the last one to make the team and then he is just biding his time? I understand the affiliation thing and in the long run it will make the Komets a better team. I just don't like seeing a lot of turnover or a large rotating door for 3 or 4 spots.
the rotating door for us is outstanding. Will it suck to lose a key player at points? yes. However, having scouts at komet games will bring better players through FW. We will get to see some decent talent hopefully. I think this is Great. If you want to consider yourself a developmental league you have to start developing players..

Mightbite I hope your not talking about MacMillan. I don't think that is an option anymore. But seriously I guess what I was saying earlier is as a fan I would hate to get a new guy that all the fans fall in love with and then is gone. In years past you would see stats for the team and there are 30 players listed and 10 of them are listed as "No longer with team". Don't get me wrong I do understand that it will get us better players and a stronger roster. I currently feel we are a strong team and like the players we have. I am just so ready to get the puck dropped. Saturday can't get here fast enough.

I think late development of the affiliation makes it rough right now for training camp. Had it been planned earlier the Komets and the players invited to camp would have known players were coming down from Springfield.

That was a nice post, mightbite. You gave a timetable, you informed us he would come from the AHL, you eliminated two players from the list of possibilities, and you did nothing to harm your relationship to your source.
That is exactly what I was suggesting a few days ago.
