Al Sims isn't raising the roof yet, but he was not too happy with tonight's performance, a 4-1 loss to Dayton. Despite 45 shots, the Komets could only manage Sean O'Connor's first goal of the season, and that came when the score was already 3-0.
``It's just the same old struggle to score,'' Sims said. ``We made some bad mistakes defensively that cost us a couple of goals.''
Did his team have good chances to score? ``Yes. We had four power plays in the third period and only scored on one of them.''
``Reiter played really well, stopped a penalty shot and a breakway. He didn't have a chance on the three goals.''
Asked what Dayton looked like, Sims said, ``Small and fast just like we saw in the exhibition games. Nothing really surprised us.''

I'm impressed with Evansville's crowd so far... real class, ya know. Everything they cheer ends in 'You Suck!', well I guess the 'Komets Suck' chant is a little different... but either way. I'm impressed...

Curadeau once again to this point is ZERO factor in play for the Komets. He is not right.
He was a stud 2 years ago for us.

The ONLY reason I'm watching the remainder of this game is in case any more fighting takes place (although something tells me thats highly unlikely).
Did the Evansville radio announcer just say that everytime they play the Komets the Komets always get the breaks?!?!?! Have they been following us ?!?!?!

Hit - Curadeau IMO is the biggest let down of the season. He was flat out awesome when we had him before.. I belive a lack of leadership is his downfall this year. I do not believe he can lead a team. He can rank up there in points, but if you tell him he is the man, he will fall apart...
Maybe i am wrong.. I hope i am.. But signing him and claiming he is the replacement for Colin Chaulk was too bog of shoes for him to fill, and I think the pressure killed him.
If we somehow sign a vet who can take control of the locker room you will see his numbers rise. Not only his but several other players as well... (or atleast i hope so)...

Homer Fic is wrong, it went it 2 times I think. Legault got it in first and the goalie swatted it out and Frankie cleaned it up into the net.

Come on Komets.. still pullin for ya, but changes need to come. Roster needs a shake up. Guess the big question is what part of the roster do you touch first....

They have been invisible since game 1 and haven't even showed a single sign of life. The worst has been Curdy, he has been completely invisible since coming back

I was officially predicting that they would win tonight and lose tomorrow, but if they beat Missouri... eh, close enough. It should be a game they can win. Missouri's record is just so-so. Hopefully they are P.O.ed enough at this point to do what it takes to make it happen.
