An Indiana State University student tries to improve town-gown relations:

In the end, I guess that Terre Haute really is not all that bad, as long as you are 21 years of age (or older), have plenty of money to burn, like to drink, don't mind loud, smoky, crowded bars, and don't have a car so you can just get the hell out of town.

I suspect IPFW students like Fort Wayne better than ISU students like Terre Haute, but bashing the city you're stuck in is a perennial pastime of the young.

Sure, but have you BEEN to Terre Haute?

I lived there for three years while at Rose-Hulman. I worked hard and graduated in three years, and I'm very thankful I didn't need the fourth.
