Flint is sinking? There's a news flash. And at the highest point in the city is a guy in a toga calling out, "Everyone stay calm. This is NOT happening," as they slip beneath the waves. :D (Bonus points if you can identify that one!)
Rumor has it that Flint is not going to honor the qualifying offers that they made to last year's players....word has it that they are planning on signing lower-level type players at minimum dollar amounts. How is this a good thing for Flint, the IHL, and the Frankes? I hope they didn't put too much money behind Mr. Prince and his circus.

Ok, what is the point of continuing on with the mess in Flint if a real effort is not going to made to make that thing up there work? I don't understand why this is allowed to continue on...how is this a good thing?
Fold the team.....or....Take over the team with a real plan to make it work. What is going on there now is an absolute disgrace.
Sorry for bringing it up again, I am tired of hearing the owners of the Komets continue to tell us that everything in Flint is peaches. Because it is not.

I don't think that is going to happen. It is odd that they have no player announcements. I hear that they have had a decent season ticket drive so far with "Pick Your Seat" events. It may be as simple as they just got their coach in the fold, they had a huge hold-up with the GM they had hired, and I am sure there have been alot of workings going on behind the scenes just to get the operation there going. I can understand QC's situation.
But Flint? What is their excuse?

If you analyze that statement, maybe he is the perfect "face" for a franchise that they are trying to run into the ground? Is it possible that the IHL could gain from a poor situation in Flint? Is it possible that Dr. Shukiary is asking way too much for the sale of the Perani Arena, and if the Generals don't draw well, then the good Dr. might be forced to unload the arena? Obviously this sounds idiotic. If they want the arena to fail, wouldn't it make more sense to let it sit empty without going thru all of this mess and giving the league a black-eye? As well as dragging the fans in Flint thru the mud-puddle again?
Nothing in the Flint situation makes any sense. I wish someone would explain to us what in the heck is going on there.
What really is going on in Flint because it seems confusing to me. Why is the IHL bothering with this mess, just kind of, and not taking the bull by the horns and fixing the situation?

Chuckitt-I have been away. The answer to your question is NO! They never used K9's but there have been some (players) that needed more than 2 or 3 officers to get them out of the bar. There is always some individuals that have Brain F**ts and think the can whip a hockey player. The Fort has there fair share of them. Over the years there have been some very tough guys and some very sorry people who tried them. I can remember calling a coach one night to come and get a player out of lockup before we didn't have any officers left for him to fight. (NO NAMES ON PURPOSE) Mark Boilow was there in about 10 minutes. I will say this, since the Franke's have owned the team those type of players have really disappeared. Some of that credit belongs to the players themselves. They have become much more professional. Obviously the quality and character of players the owners sign is a reflection of themselves.

thanks dennis, always heard the storyabout mr. g.t. but never knew if it was true or not ,tho i did know he was in a few altercations. true that the komets were asked to get him out of town or else??? i know he went on to have a few productive years afterwards.
chuckitt- There have been more than one of those guys. I just don't like to use names. Let them rest in peace. Their reputations don't need to trashed by me. In some cases the ledged fall exceeds the exploits. Beside they have been known to return and I don't want them looking for me.
