Just saw that annoying Sally Fields ad pitching Boniva, the osteoporosis pill. What's annoying is that they make such a big deal about having to take the thing only once a month, as if taking a pill weekly or, heaven forbid, daily is an unbearable hardship. Taking something monthly seems to be a disadvantage to me -- that gives you 30 or 31 days to forget to take the stupid pill.

Sally says, with a tone of at least mild outrage, "My girlfriend told me she has to set aside time once a week just to take her (whatever) pill!!"
On first viewing I immediately assumed two things: 1) The sponsor had to convince Ms. Field to say such an unlikely line, and 2) she's lying about having this girlfriend... I have to mute the TV tout suite for this one (and most other ads, actually).
