While Police Chief Grady may have said "Desperation is a stinky cologne" in Super Troopers, it sure smells pretty freakin' awesome in Fort Wayne tonight.
No need to even worry about Sunday. K's can enjoy this for another half hour or so, then the same rules apply - get out there and win one.

The Yappers from Rapid City had a great time talkin smack to ol' JungleMonkey tonight... They got real quiet at the end of the 3rd period though... Reamey, King, Reeder, and the rest of the dive team couldn't embellish enough to get the win.
Then I have to deal with fellow Komet fan in a Hyundi driving like a madman down 69. He should be a Rush fan, he didn't want to man up either..

I have NEVER seen a team dive and cry as much as the Rush, it was unreal...One of their players "breaks his leg" and crawls to the bench like he had a bullet in his leg and is right back out there the next shift...They make the IceHogs look like saints...They're a good team, they dont need that crap

Burgee you are the man. GM I couldn't agree more. RC makes me sick. ALL they do is fall down and cry like babies. Been going to Ks games for 50 years. I have NEVER seen anything like these losers. I haven't hated a team like this since Indy back in the early 90s. Ks in 5.

I wish everybody would leave Pc and Guy alone. If you guys think it is so easy then put skates on and play. Oh yeah that is right you can't. That is why I do not see you down there. Give Pc a break he did score a goal. Everyone was sloppy in playing.
All I can say fans and fair weather fans let us pack the jungle to the brim. WE can show up Rush fans and scream our lungs out.

P.C. Drouin scores the game-tying goal Wednesday night with 3:30 remaining in the third period
to give the Komets a 4-4 tie and send the game into overtime. Mathieu Curadeau sealed the victory
at 10:53 of overtime. Drouin also added three assists for a four-point night.

Couldn't agree more GM. It was ridiculous... especially after they went up 3-0 early in the 2nd. It was whine whine whine after EVERY whistle. And the worst offender was easily Reaney. He chirps and dives and complains all game long, then he'll take a little cheap shot after the whistle and run the other way. Reminds me a bit of Sean Avery only not as smart.
Definitely need to eliminate the dumb penalties. RC's first 3 goals were all a result of foolish penalties taken by veterans who should know better.
Marie, while I certainly can't play, I'm still allowed an opinion, and while PC ended up with 4 points it doesn't change the fact that his 1st period was abysmal. It was for everyone... passes were going everywhere except where they needed to be, but PC (and Lardner) seemed to stand out more, especially when he single handedly stopped Ratchuk from entering the offensive zone on an otherwise good looking rush.
I thought Mele looked really good for the most part even though he got lost a few times. And while the Rush could have been called for diving at least a half dozen times, I though the officiating was good overall and they kept things mostly under control. My main gripes were the Molle roughing call after RC's 3rd goal (and lots of Rush whining of course) and Chaulk's roughing call @ 5:02 of the 3rd becuase Reaney instigated it and should've gone in with him. But for the most part the calls that were made were pretty clear infractions.
All in all it was a exhilarating and shocking comeback that I hope will prove to be inspirational on Friday night as well.
