It's 4-0 after 1, JR. I think all four Komets goals have been the result of hustle and have come within five feet of the net. Shaf breakaway, DeAngelis driving to the net, MacMillan punching in a rebound and DeAngelis heading to the net again. 20-6 shots in the first. This picture is Frankie's first goal.
Holy crap! The one night I stay home...
And I don't like those Port Huron uniforms. They remind me of the old "generic" store brand labels... you know, the black and white ones that just say "CORN" on them or something like that.
Sounds like the Icehawks left thier game on the bus.... Thanks for the update Blake! Also sounds like it could've been worse...
Hopefully the K's dont sit back on the lead and keep attacking...
Wow! Could'nt buy a goal Wed; but a surplus here tonight...
It's 9-1 with 2:00 left in the second. Larry got pulled after 7 in 28 shots.
Now this is the way Komets can play when the put there mind to it. Looks like they are clickin on all cylinders tonight.
I hope they dont use up all thier goals for the weekend tonight...lol Good old fashioned butt whipping tonight...
Wow, easy win tonight...PoHo never made it of thier bus...
What was that larry was saying about Tim again?
Well call me Patty, hell of a game tonight guys!
I'm just going to go ahead and say so all the naysayers dont.... I wanted 10 goals lol, good game....awesome game! Made up for wednesday night. In my mind timmy still basically had a shut out, he had no idea port hurons shot went straight up, nothing he could do about it.
Not even the power of positive thinking could save Larry tonight.
Prayers go out to the family of Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke who lost his son in a car accident in Indiana tonight. People may have read about his son who was openly gay and still heavily involved in hockey
FMM... Sorry you weren't there. I took your seats for the third. So thanks for that! ;)
Mr.S... Whoa. I'm really sorry to hear that. :( Guess I better catch up on the NHL news, but my heart goes out to the Burke family for their sudden and tragic loss.
If we still had Varone we would have got to 10 goals. Boo for releasing him!
I talked to someone from the team after the game and they said they felt sick to their stomach after the 7th goal. I was worried coming in to this game. I hope they can bring their game every night against the tough teams. I still wouldn't of rather been somewhere else than with my team though.
who would have scored the 10th goal?l
Wendy- I was gonna email you and tell you I wasn't gonna be there and to go ahead and use our seats! Glad you did! Just was not up to going out last night. I'll have to record the broadcast Wednesday... who was the interview?
Never mind... I read in the next thread about the interview! :)
He is smoking, kid.
Let me say, I liked Varone alot. He was a good player last season, and hurt this season. It is not fair to bash him, nor is it fair for people to question why he was let go. Stats don't lie.
19th Century British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881): "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." :)
Every season a favorite player is let go and fans question why.. It is the nature of professional sports.
Personally, it's why I cheer for the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back.
Very well said Shutterbug.
Dang, that might be the smartest thing said on the blog all year. Are you a redhead, too? LOL.
Blogfoul - Superfan nothing smart is ever said on a blog, you must sit, feel shame as bears fan and watch Colts win yet another Superbowl.
And always always remember shutterbug, figures don't lie, liars figure, ask Schebig, he'll tell ya like it is.
My kingdom for another Coke Zero.
Savage is looking for indoor Grilling ideas using fatback.
No, Blake....it's the children of redheads that get all A's, remember? LOL...at least in my case it is. Not that that would surprise anyone who knows me...
I was on high honor roll all year my senior year of HS. :D
