I don't see how the Komets can win playing this style. They are trying to out-skate and out-gun the IceHawks, and I don't think that's going to work. They need to try to win this game 2-1 not 6-5. Wonder if they will figure it out before it's too late.
They are getting more traffic in front of Larry Sterling, but their power play isn't generating any chances and very few shots.
Nick Boucher has been pretty sharp so far, but there was nothing he could do on the IceHawks' power-play goal.
Here's what the Komets are playing for. When they are tied 2-2 in a series, they have gone 9-1 over their last 10 Game 5s, and seven of those were in Memorial Coliseum. This is the series.

Yeah, hope Larry's okay. However....K's should definitely take advantage of this situation! Getting that 5 on 3 pp goal certainly helped. They were flying there at the end. Hope they keep it up in the 3rd. This is a must win! Go K's!!!
Chaulk and their guy crashed behind the net and ran over Larry. Looked bad, but hope he's not too bad. K's scored on the 5 on 3 to make it 2-1. End of two.
larrys teamate ran into him, and i might add not very hard. he layed on the ice for awhile. then got up had help skating to the locker room.

I would much rather have Larry in net when we win than to have him out and be able to say we couldn't beat him so we took him out. I understand we did beat him twice on our way to the two cups, but I really like beating Larry.

Don't get me wrong, I loathe Larry. LOATHE. But I still hope he's ok. I'm glad he's out of the net...but that still means we have to start SHOOTING THE PUCK. Last time I check it doesn't just find its way to the back of the net on its own...

I spoke too soon on the other tread about the bloggers having enough class to not beat Larry while he's down. Seriously people.....it's a game and Larry's health is a lot more important. What joy is there in winning against a newbie goalie? I was glad PH still got the win tonight...but I hope the Komets take the series... WITH A HEALTHY STERLING!
