What do they have to do to win a game? Other than score more goals then their opponent.

Another loss for the komets . Naurato had 2 points against. Goes to show us that he can play as long as he has good teamates around him.

Well.....I thought tonights game was fun for 2 periods......then the Turd Period came and we fell apart again.

They win this game last season in my opinion....they just can't get the puck to go in, and tonight they had several point blank looks with a goalie rolling around on his back and couldn't finish it off.

They should have won 7-2 tonight. They were the better team on the ice for at least 2/3 of the game.

OC was great tonight.

Rodger looked good.

Patrosso looked good.

Lardner looked good.

Leo played well.

Not Schrocks best outing.

How does #9 stay on this team? Nevermind.

I had more fun tonight, the action was there.

The result, well, Poop.

And the Flint Jersey did not work. I thought it was working. I am running out of Jersey options.

The Flint jersey stays Hit... That was a better game for 2 periods. Maybe you need a Kalamazoo hat to make the whole thing work... :)

Had another post that disappeared, not sure what happened; but 3 D-men cannot play in this league. Warner, Mironovic and Dupuis. 2 are getting skated around and the other cannot play in traffic AND gets skated around in his own zone... UGH! It really pains me to add Dupuis because he has been so good for this franchise; but it also pains me to watch his legacy tarnished as players with half his talent make him look bad on the ice...

The later in the season we get, the less I feel good about the K's somehow pulling off a miracle at this point and making the playoffs... And to think we were all making fun of the format when it was announced. Now we're thanking our lucky stars that there's still a chance, however slim it appears...

JR.....LOL

I actually thought Danko was good tonight.

But I will trust you I guess. LOL

At least Danko had an edge to his game and played somewhat physical.

Warner is awful.

And the penalties he is taking.....how can SuperFan defend his honor any longer??? LOL

Where is SuperFan???

We need to have a live blog again where we can shoot the shat together and have one of the players on...I vote for Narauto to be on so we can ask him what was with this team in his opinion......now that he is on a better team and scoring points instantly.

What gives? You know?

Danko is ok; but he got away with alot tonight... With his lack of speed, he's overmatched in this league even with his reach...

I predict:

If no Colin Chaulk by NYE...

NYE game will not sell-out this year. They might get 8500 tops.

For the first 2 periods the Komets looked good. But it was almost foreseen what the outcome was going to be. With the way they played it should have been at least 5-1 going into the 3rd. But you could almost predict this ending. Other team makes adjustments and the Komets take absolutely stupid penalties. What in the name of holy heck was Warner thinking or doing in getting a 5 minute major and game misconduct? He has cost the Komets more than a few times this year. I have tickets for 2 more games. After that I don't know if I can bear to watch anymore. It still seams to me there are 2-3 players that are bringing this team down. One only gives 71% effort and the other is showing his skill level of 9%. O Connor did look great and even Legault I thought played decent. And for the love of hockey please Francis pass the stinking puck instead of trying to go in by yourself between 2 players when your on a 3 on 2 or 4 on 2 rush. This is totally frustrating.

"We've got to sit down, look at the situation, and decide what we're going to do," said Komets coach Al Sims.

I thought that's what we were going to do back around Thanksgiving, weren't we?

I'd like to thank the friend of mine for the script tickets he gave me, because I'm done spending money to see this team until Management gets serious about winning. This is just disgusting, to sit here night after night and make NO serious changes! And by serious changes, I mean lose at least one player or person whose name went on the Turner Cup v.2.0 last year.

I'm not just being a fair-weather fan. Losing is a part of sports...but not making an effort to get better, is unacceptable! So, keep having the closed-door meetings; change the letters around some more; keep thinking about what you want to do; and I'll keep my money in my pocket until I see real changes...the kind we should have made FIFTEEN GAMES AGO!

As long as we're committed to going older to get better...why not bring down some of the retired banners and put those guys back on the ice! And...if Mac ends up back here or the joke I made about Francis changing his number to make room for somebody comes true, then we truly have given up on winning this year.

Jared, anytime you want to get in the cage, lets go.
I was asked not to tell & I respect that.

Some comments in general:
- LeGault should be out, cannot skate, pass nor fight, obvious on the ice last night his teammates are unsure of him
- one thing not mentioned anywhere above that I can see and something I have sent to the Komets....why are we changing goalies every other game....last three years we let one get in a groove and play some 8-10 games then have relief for a few....this is a major contributor to the losses...each goalie has a different defensive style he wants from the defensemen.....changing this would help
- Warner....why of why is he still here
- Naurato....I liked him, sad to see him go
- biggest off season mistake...not keeping Mac...I for one would love to see him back...at least when given approval he can skate, pass and score
- Guy needs to retire and should have done so last year
- Danko cannot keep up in the d-zone and resorts to thug tactics like what happened at the end of he one period
- Delisle was for a rookie pretty good and agressive
- Tab is a smart effective player and made many excellent plays defensively last night
I still like the Komets and will continue my season tickets.

Curadeau looked much better i thought .. along with patrosso . Warners penalty lost the game in my opinion

Sun, 12/19/2010 - 1:45pm

Did no one see that Rodger delibiratly kneeed that player before Dayton retaliated kneeing Oconner. Just a classless move by a despicatable team

WHO
Sun, 12/19/2010 - 1:55pm

Warner's penalty was costly but did not result in the loss of this game....it was lost long before that when we only played a first period and 5 minutes of the second.
Curadeau still needs to learn how to pass occassionally.
With Rodger, stuff happens during a game...this is not a despicable team...if you feel that way you are not a true fan.

maybe your right WHO .. that penalty may not have lost the game. i just think that the 5 min power play , took all the momentmum if any that we did have away. curadeau just seemed more involved than he had been in a while.

Maybe Kelly Hurd would like to take a few weeks off? Why not make the fans happy and join the OHA. Then they can field an over 35 team and compete for the Spengler cup lol.

Seriously what JR1 said in the other thread makes sense. Fans want someone with the perceived work ethic Chaulk is known for. I can't argue with that.
But looking at it with an objective eye he and his style of play is not going to make any kind of tangible difference in this team.

Now if bringing him in will cause them to cut loose some total dead weight this team is carrying then I am all for it. But expecting him to come in here and part the Maumee river with one wave of his stick (HOCKEY STICK) is asking him to do too much.

Also, it may be time for PC to hang it up as well....seems to follow the play alot and not be interested in checking much.

Just think: Komets fans have had to deal with losing for just over 2 months. Bloomington has had to deal with it basically every month since 2006 (until this year, at least). It's real easy to "demand" that changes be made to improve the team, but it is much easier said than done. Otherwise, teams like Bloomington would have righted the ship 3 1/2 years ago (you don't think their fans have begged for their team to be improved?).

The CHL is highly competitive, and from what I see all teams are trying to improve, and actually have the means to do so (unlike some of the IHL teams the last few seasons). The Komets can certainly improve from where they are at, but I'm not sure how high in the standings they will go this year. It is a very competitive league.

Who: Not sure what you mean since the K's have been rather famous for switching up their goalies the last couple of seasons. I guess Reiter was out a while with injury in 2007-2008, and in 2008-2009, the same was true with Sebastian Laplante. Haun and Bouch were both out with injury and Haun had that suspension in 2009-2010. But other than that, they were switching them up. Last season, they started using Bouch on the road and Haun at home because to start the season, Bouch was struggling at home, as was Haun on the road. The only time they've really settled on just one guy is at some point in the playoffs, but they always start the playoffs still switching them up. And yes, a lot of people have questioned that.
