Wait a minute....

What?
Did you say that Curadeau and PC's level of play aren't much different from Mirasty?

Really.

I am calling BS on that one.

You really need to watch the games alot closer if that is your stance.

No way Dude.....you are absoultely delusional if you actually think that one.

PC has played awesome over the past month or longer and yes, his stats prove it, as does his play if you watch the game, like him or not.....truth.

Curadeau has struggled, but his struggles are still 10X the skater and player Mirasty is.

No offense to Mirasty, but he is what he is....he is the Enforcer.

I said he could use 2-4 shifts a period to police the ice, and to put fear into the goalie and dare the other team to move him away from the net.....

But to say he can contribute anything other than that.....

Ha Ha Ha.....whatever.

Paul has done goal judge duties for years when the regular guy is sick/can't be there for whatever reason

Super Fan....

Is there indeed a new player in town?

I too saw a new guy sitting the player's family section in a suit.

It wasn't Musslewhite, Danko, Apod, Worlton, Reddick, Boone, or Kiyaga.

LOL

Ken Boone? Or Pat Boone? Both have done the same amount for the Komets.

IF Mirasty is only here for a few games, isn't it going to be tougher for the team once he leaves?
I play hockey with a guy (Kevin) who had Wilf Paiment on his wing the first two years of Junior in St. Catherines. When Wilf was drafted, Kevin was on his own. By his own account he had to change his style without the sherriff in town.
If I may, it looks like a communication issue. If Mirasty understood the role maybe his is not happy with it now.
One thing is for sure, he was brought in to do a job. He should be respected for what he brings to party, whether there is great need or not at this point.
The few weeks before he arrived there were some liberties taken.
The big issue, the team has been in two close games in a row. If there is not a lot of physical, abusive play then Jon is not needed on the ice as much. And we need to win those games.
How it should work, if the Komets get some comfortable leads, then play him more. Perhaps he can get some minutes and show Al he can contribute at other times.
I for one hope they can work it out and Jon can be happier. I don't want to see a great deal of fighting but we need the bona fide deterrent.

Francis quit the team, his choice, and he flew home to Vegas on Wednesday morning. We are still showing him on the roster and calling him a scratch at each game. Are we still paying for him? Does he stay on our roster until Columbus finds another spot for him? If Springfield wants a player just to sit on the bench in case they might need him, sure wish they would take Francis and send Ratchuk back here for defense. I know -- I'm a dreamer...

This Jon is unhappy is more perception that reality. He has been in this racket long enough to know he is a role player and should know before coming here he was not going to be a regular out on this ice. Nobody was dooped here. If the fans who pay to see him play are paying just to see him play then you are probably going to be disappointed. T-shirts and board promos don't grant him extra ice time either. His role is served either by his play or just by being here. Its Mirasty, not Gretzky.

Look at the guys ranking in the top 20 in PM's. We either have played them once already or never play them this season. Looking ahead at the schedule (on paper) it doesn't look like his dance card will be full any time soon. If something needs to be taken care of ...it will be taken care of. But good grief lets stop forcing the issue.

Why is everyone ASSUMING that Mirasty is unhappy?

Mr Snufflupugus

Because bloggers are not happy unless someone is unhappy.

Sounds like everyone is reading it from body language and manner in which he is interacting. A happy or at least contented guy may be a little more outgoing.
All reports were he was a good guy to be around off the ice.
If that is not the case in Fort Wayne, then something is different.
Great points Dave unfortunately more times then not, perception becomes reality.

Everyone saying that Mirasty can't be mad because he knows his role obviously, like some of us obsessive fans, haven't read the material that came out before his arrival. The whole point of him being here was because no one would play him at their level, so he gets sent here and they dont play him at this level either. Of course he's mad and there are plenty of other uses for him (in front of the net, on the ice irritating the other team. Isn't it interesting that the game he played the most in was a blowout?

Steve

KFX, I guess it's about as interesting as the fact my brother didn't make it to that game either. One had as much influence on the outcome as the other.

How do you figure? A guy that checks hard and gets in a fight his second shift and gets a lot of ice time couldn't possibly have anything to do with firing up the other guys and the crowd that night. Geez what was I thinking?

Francis was recalled by Springfield today, according to the CHL website.

wow, Mirasty is getting paid $90,000 to open the door. Where do i sign up for that job?

In my precious opinion, Mirasty didn't seem happy after his fight on Sunday. He didn't do his normal 2 gun salute to the crowd, and he doesn't seem energized on the bench.

With that said, I give him respect, and I hope that he is happy in Fort Wayne.

Any as far as the Warner comment went about being wonderful on Sunday, you must have missed the turnovers he created over and over. Warner does decent at defense because he is a gambler, BUT that is also why he turns the puck over because he is a gambler. Some people love a gambler and some people don't. That is the main problem/perk when it comes to Warner. The question is do his points and offensive play make up for the at times risky defense??

Well I don't know why he wouldn't be happy. He is dressing everynight and getting atleast one shift unlike the ones not playing like A-pod. He was mad before with Elmira becasue they were not dressing him at all, hence why he is here.
