Tailing the Komets

Parade rest

That was fun, though we could have used a little bit of a breeze. We also ran out of cozies way too soon. I kept looking for something to wrap mine in, but nobody handed me anything. I did think it was cruel irony that the Samaritan helicopter kept circling the parade like a vulture waiting for one of us to drop. Great crowd with tons of kids out there.

I actually though Jon Shepler had the coolest "float'' in the parade. Way to go Jon! You da man with the glads.

Komets who I saw that walked today included Colin Chaulk, Leo Thomas, Kevin Bertram, David Hukalo, Sean O'Connor (he's just starting talks with the Komets because he's been fishing), Bobby Phillips and Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock. There might have been some others, but I didn't get to see who arrived after 9 a.m.

Teresa, your message was relayed to Huk.

I know everyone wants to see some high profile goal scorers signed, but with the loss of Chaulk and Hukalo, we've lost our two best defensive forwards. I think we need a guy that plays both ways and can score. A cherry picker like Robin Bouchard shouln't be in the plan. Tab Lardner, John Mori, John DiPace are the kind of guys that I'd like to see...

Shouldn't the other blogger be thanked on his blog and not this one?

Hopefully PC will be the last of the 30+ guys this team brings back.

I agree JM. Thomas, Drouin, Naurato, Patrosso are all 20 goal guys. Nathan Ward is supposed to be a capable scorer, and if they continue to sign a couple more 20 goal guys it will be time to focus on some shut down defending forwards. Every good team has them. Some grit, and a goalie or two would be nice....

JM. Mori, Lardner, and DiPace would be fine additions.

Ooops! DiPace should be property of Evansville, right?

Burgee: You're already down by 1, but I'd watch FMM. She's a troublemaker.

Yes, unless he negotiated a contract with another team prior to Geary buying the rights to the former Muskegon players....

Personally, I would rather have Krug from Muskegon... Good all around D-man with some snarl...

Me, a troublemaker? I'm only influenced by those sitting around me... LOL
