Party bus

We all know people who  think they're invisible in their cars -- hey, watch where' you're putting that finger, pal, that's disgusting. Apparently, some kids think the same rule applies for buses:

SEYMOUR, Ind. - A road trip by some Butler University students to the Kentucky Derby took an unplanned detour when police pulled over their chartered bus and cited 16 occupants for underage drinking.

Indiana State Police received a cell phone tip on Saturday telling them a public school bus headed south on Interstate 65 was filled with young people passing alcoholic beverages back and forth.

At least they were smart enough to drink and drive.

Caption of a picture in the Detroit Free Press on April 29:

Christopher Ratte, 47, of Ann Arbor, holds a bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade, which has an alcohol content of 5%. He says he had no idea it was an alcohol beverage when he bought a bottle for his 7-year-old son at Comerica Park three weeks ago. Stadium security reported the incident, and Ratte's son was placed in foster care for two days. Ratte was not permitted to move back into his house for nearly a week.

Ouch! (Actually, my thoughts are unprintable....)
