The league decided to go with Lucas Drake of Kalamazoo who had three goals and nine points in four games. He was plus-4. He also just came off the IR.
P.C. Drouin had five goals and eight points in three games and was plus-5.
The Komets were not neglected, though, as Guy Dupuis was named Defenseman of the Month, Mathieu Curadeau the Rookie of the Month and Nick Boucher the Goaltender of the Month for February.

I'm sure that the voting was close and perhaps very spirited regarding the Forward of the Week. To me it sounds like both were deserving of the honors. However, congratulations to Guy Dupuis, Mathieu Curadeau and Nick Boucher on their respective Monthly honors.
I believe that is what...the second time for each of them to earn a monthly honor? Outstanding!
