Pence is ready to go

After being forced to sit out the first four weeks with a rib injury, defenseman Jake Pence can't wait to get back on the ice.

"It's really hard to do," Pence said. "You really want to be out there skating. You skate with them in practice every day and then to have them go play a game seems a little unfair. I'm really excited about getting back."

just hope when Legault does come back, he comes back ready to play like the Legault from last season, and not the Legault ive seen so far this season. i mean i like the fact hes trying to get in front of the goal and stay there but it just seems hes lost out their this season and its like he has lost all of his enforcer type style of play. (which maybe with macmillan) he doesnt need to do it, maybe not. but i think he needs to find a little of that edge back again.

There is more to Legault than just being an enforcer, and I say more power to him. Sure, he should be physical out there, but he can't score goals when he's sitting in the penalty box. I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best from here on out.

I love the new and improved Legault. He still needs to work on his skating, but he is a much better player so far this season.

Legualt will drop 'em with anyone that's willing at any time. He's just added another element to his game with the hopes of advancing up the pro hockey ladder. Good for him. I love the fact that he's being utilized right in front of the net, goalies can't stop what they can't see.

yes there is more to Legault than being an enforcer just as there is more to any hockey player than being an enforcer but when that is your style of play and you try and get away from it and try other things (like geting in front of the net) it takes time to adjust and i think he is just a little out of sorts and is trying to find himself out there. im not knocking Legault at all im just saying he needs to play his style of hockey along with trying to improve any other areas of the the game at the same time. he just doesnt look like hes enjoying the game as much this year as last year.

Remember, Legualt did participate in 3 training camps. That is a grueling start to any season. I think rest was the best thing for him at this point. He will have the fire once he gets back.

Wow, i can't believe what i am reading, Legault has improved so much over last year that this post kind of befuddles me.

Ok when Legault is on the ice he's usually the biggiest guy out there....So why wouldn't you want to have him in front of the net?

Who in the IHL is gonna go with Legault??? Not too many legit heavies in the league this year. He's vastly improved his game from last year and with a lil more work on his skating he will be making that move to a higher league...

Yeah, I agree. I love the new Legault! I think he has big promise to keep moving up. Plus I agree with JR, there really is not another heavy in the league who would challenge him.

I just say he's probably glad that macmillan plays for us instead of somebody else. as far as for legault in front of the net it wasnt stated that he didnt do well or that he shouldnt be there. it was stated that he just needs alittle more work to get better, in front of the net is a good place for him.thank you i really like legault!!!!

by the way, as far as heavies go what are u talking about,
heavies by the way of heavy hitters (which for us has been little guys under 6' for the past few seasons morency, woods, galbraith and this season macmillan ) or r u saying heavy asin big dudes that cant fight worth a crap like henley and worlton. yes legault can throw and he has the size, theres not many players that can throw and have size in this league. those days are over im afraid the little guys have to be well rounded and do it all, theres no more enforcers that are legault size and toughness. and there are little guys in the league that are willing to try to go with leagault.

Not nearly as many as you may think. They aren't suicidal.
