Tailing the Komets

Plenty of tickets available

As of 4:45 p.m., Sunday, Komets President Michael Franke said there are about 5,300 tickets out for Monday night and they are expecting a crowd of around 7,500. The Komets have not come close to selling out a first-round playoff game since the Memorial Coliseum was renovated in 2003, and have not sold out a first-round game since 1995 against Peoria.

The last time the Komets played a Game 7 outside the playoff finals was in 2005 when they drew 6,012 for a May 10 game against Rockford. That was a Tuesday night.

Got my 4.

Guy said it best.....listen up you fair weather Komet fans that only come out when you get freebies from your boss or group tickets with your brownies troop......

Sack-up and buy tickets......Rock the jungle.

I wish it was tonight......can't wait.

Rumor has it that the IHL might move the Generals to Fraser Michigan......

Remember the Motor City Mechanics......part 2???

Just to clarify, Guy didn't say that.....I was paraphrasing what I heard him say and made it more direct......

He did have a great quote though.

Hoberg is a great example of why he is a minor league official. Port Huron fans were normal, you had the group of cougars(too old to be puck bunnies) going in and out of their seats during game play, dudes spilling beer on the female fan in front of them, the loud fan yelling fort wayne sucks(over and over again) that sit right in front of me, somewhere between 6 and 10 PH fans giving the K's the finger after the game, PH fans thanking us for making the trip, Grandma at the concession stand talking me into, warm, moist chocolate chip cookies, a slice of Happy's Pizza and my favorite, the senior citizen female usher yelling over the wall at our players when they went to the penalty box, now thats a hockey fan - our red coats need to get involved like that.

nice little barn, nice little town, liked everything but the drive, that about killed me.

did enjoy the 8 hours on the road with friends though.
