Tailing the Komets

Possible good news on Colin

Komets coach Greg Puhalski said Colin Chaulk sliced open the back of his leg near his ankle when he fell on the skate blade of another player. He was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure to get stitched up, and he'll be out of the lineup the rest of the weekend. The Komets don't believe the injury is going to turn out to be a major one.

The Komets will likely move Kelly Miller back into the lineup Saturday at Flint after he sat out Friday. Lance Galbraith will also be out of the lineup Friday after receiving an instigation penalty in the last five minutes. That carries an automatic one-game suspension.

A.J. Bozoian also returned to the lineup Friday after missing several weeks with an abdominal injury. Mark Lindsay sat out but will get to play Saturday.

Good point Chuckitt. Domber did fight Stewart tonight. 3 games too late. Makes you wonder why in 3 games with Flint, none of his teammates were willing to back him up at all with Stewart? Your comments about respect in the locker room just may be our answer on that. His teammates must have thought that he needed to step up and take care of his own problems since he was the one that started the whole thing with Stewart when he played for the K-wings. I'm glad he fought him finally. He lost badly, but he had to do it.
Now we need our heavyweight guy to be a little more willing to back up his teammates and not have to wait for an invitation to stand-up for his guys. I am not just talking fighting here. You can make some real statements just by throwing the body around out there. The other team will think twice when they know you are willing to play physical. Playoffs are coming, we can't afford any blindsided hits or cheapies now, especially with Chaulk being 50/50 whether he will play or not.

Nanci I am sorry I wasn't able to make it. I have a new Umpire In Chief this season and my college schedule is heavy with weekend double headers. If I want to be able to go to playoff games I don't get any time off now. I am glad everyone was happy with the fight/loss.

Now the topic can switch from Domber to someone else. I nominate the redcoat from section 207. If only he would be more aggressive towards the people who don't observe the "stay in seats while play is going on" rule, there might be more respect. I think he should throw a right cross at the first person who breaks the rule and maybe if his fellow redcoats have enough respect for him, they will join in and pummel everybody. Who wants to watch a hockey game when we can watch "REDCOATS GONE WILD!! COMING TO A DVD STORE NEAR YOU!"
Sigh I am tiiiiirrrrreeeeedddd!!!

Domber keeps playing like he has been, the Komets won't want him to fight. They'll want to keep him on the ice.

I slightly agree in some degree to your statement about respect in the lockerroom Chuck. Just keep in mind that this was not a situation in which a player didn't stand up for someone. This was a personal issue between Stewart and Domber. I seriously doubt Domber had nobody to eat with or was sitting in the corner of the lockerroom by himself because he was not fighting Stewart for Stewart. Nobody here knows what the whole scenario is or was. Everyone could of been well aware that this was Domber's fight and would let him handle this situation as he seen fit.

His teamates may very well have had a good laugh at how stupid he made Stewart look twice!

I remember when we used to talk about a Stewart fighting and it wasn't some clown from Flint. Boy, I'd love to have Danny around to pound Dave Stewart.

Hey everyone, at least your section had a "redcoat" I sit in 206 upper and the ushers if there are any....are by the Bud Suite and by 210/212. A few nights ago I was told by another fan that the usher pointed out to a large group (10+) where there seats were then sent them on their merry way while play was in progress in our end of the rink! I guess he wanted to watch the game also. Please do not throw anything at the ushers....it might get ugly with all of those canes and walkers they use!! LOL
