IHL Commissioner Dennis Hextall said there will be a press conference in Dayton tomorrow to announce the new owners.
``It appears that the new group coming in have the wherewithal to make the franchise very stable,'' Hextall said. ``I think they have been looking at this situation a while.''
Komets president Michael Franke said of Richard Bruner and Ryan Yerrick, ``It's all going to work out for the best. The one thing I can say, if it wasn't for this ownership group, Dayton hockey never would have come back. They laid the groundwork for something good.''
``It's just the state of the economy,'' Franke said. ``Look at the newspaper, television, radio, automobile and retail businesses. This is what is happening on main street America right now, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look around at our industry and see what the attendance is and realize there's a problem. It's scary out there.

Batman--Dayton is looking for investors. Than you could build your own team the way you want them. By the way you would have to pay for tham also. You might enjoy it! It really is easy to spend other peoples money. Just look at congress.

No, because the majority of us trust that the organization makes the correct decisions. I just don't appreciate idiots who come here and make wild and outrageous statements and have nothing to back them up. It's something our friends in KZoo do.

K- wings attendance is up 16% over last year and the fans seem to like the caliber of hockey better in the E.C.H.L. With all of the crap going on in dayton and Flint who would want to put a team in this league? I like the I but this hanging on by a thread every year is getting old!

Tiger... you are comparing your final attendance last season to the beginning of this season... If you compare apples to apples.. first 9 games of this season to first 9 games of last season.. (use pointstreak.com) you will see the Kwings net gain in attendance at this point through the season is 64 people per game or 1.7%.. not the 16% when you use skewed figures.

Did the Kalamazoo Wings offer $3 tickets for all seats last season? Wednesday, Dec. 9 vs. Reading Royals, 7 PM, all tickets $3 according to wingsstadium.com.
Plus if you look at the later part of the last season there were several Komets games at the lovely barn. Gomez=slow skaing goon. Varone = fast forward. Gomez = could not play for Komets since he's too SLOW
