Renny on his way back to the Fort?

Can't remember.....is he a tweener or veteran now? I am not sure how he would fit onto this roster....I like him, but where does he go?
He's a tweener
He would be a vet by now. Lot of games I am sure.
Would be interesting to have him back, there is a guy that is not afraid at all to go hard to the net. He is physical and a sniper. I would enjoy seeing him back in orange and black. Is this possible Super Fan?
Matt Reynolds' still a tweener. He played 51 pro games last season and 11 pro games this season for the Hull Stingrays according to the Elite Ice Hockey League stats. From '05-08 he played 196 pro games according to Hockeydb.com.
258 games < 300 games the IHL Vet cut-off
Who would be the options for people to be let go to make room for Reynolds? Would it be worth the losses?
For those who care Kalamazoo Won their 1st ECHL game 4-1 over the Reading (PA) Royals.
O'Connor & Curadeau held scoreless, Legault DNP
What is a Kalamazoo? Thanks Adam! But, I really do not care.
Kalamawho?
Well, IHL fans should pay attention to how K-zoo fares in the ECHL because there are several players from last years IHL teams on that squad... If they continue to win and the former IHLers continue to contribute it helps legitimize what IHL fans been saying for awhile now that the play/players in the IHL is on par, if not better than that of the ECHL...
Three things to consider:
1. Al Sims loves Matt Reynolds.
2. If Komets are not interested, someone else in the league will be, and Matt would be a pain in the backside to play against. Can you imagine him battling Leo or Huk or Chaulk?
3. I wonder if there's any way the Komets could fit him under the salary cap. At this point, I really doubt it, which is too bad because I bet both sides would love to get something worked out.
One way to compare leagues is to look at the individual goaltenders' stats from year-to-year and league-to-league. There's not much difference.
I would rather have another fighter than Reynolds. Mike Sgori ?
It's cool having so many good players out there, but on the other hand it's really frustrating thinking we may not have room for someone and that another team may be able to pick up one of "our" guys.
If Al Sims is thinking of playing Blair Stayzer more at forward than defense then I think the addition of Matt Reynolds makes a lot of sense. 1) Al Sims brought Reynolds here from the CHL two years ago. 2) Playing Stayzer at forward is really playing him out of position. 3) Stayzer is a veteran and the Komets would then be one veteran under the limit. The salary cap is another question mark.
Isn't it possible that another European team may want to pick Reynolds up?
So I'm hogging the blog today. I should be more efficient and put these all into one "book" like Alan! I'm totally kidding. In any event, I just got done looking at the Preview in the Journal and on page 13B it is predicted that the Komets will get 2nd to the Icehawks. That's what I get for reading Cohn's article. Hope he's wrong in rooting for the Buffalo Bills of the IHL, but then again, he may just nail it.
might fights do not = goals and that's what it's all about isn't it?
RK, I'm not going to allow you to call him names on this blog. Let's show some class.
RK-- Come on now your better than that! 2 minutes for "Blog Foul" What I would like to ask Hit is if he owned a team how would he would plan on winning if everbody was a fighter and he had zero skill players? No offense to defensemen. I think they are skilled players also. I ask that because you sound like all you want are fighters. If I am miss reading all your hits I apologize up front.
Sorry, Dad. Have a good season everyone. It's been fun.
Because I won't let you call Justin a name, you're going to take your puck and go home?
Hey c'mon RK, you can't quit on opening day. Who will I depend on to defend me? I'm writing shorter posts all the time now. The rest of the blogging world should thank you for that. Hopefully you will feel better after the K's get a couple of wins under their belt......on another note....I was happy to read that Whitehead will join the team in Port Huron for tomorrow nights game.
Why are some down on Stayzer? Yes he has a little trouble with balance from time to time when he fights, but he has some value. He is big and strong can play up and play phyiscal in front of the net or play back and play physical in front of our net. I believe coach Sims loves a guy like that and besides I bet Stayzer's game improves with coach Sims. As far as the roster and who is or who isn't here, remeber it is a long season and if coach Sims or David Franke thinks they need to bring in a HW I am sure they have plenty of contacts out there that can bring one in. Look who they brought in and within 2 days he gets recalled to the AHL. He must have been a legit all round player that could play the game and do the necessary things when called upon. Blake I will be following all your recaps and updates because you know I can't get fully involved with the hockey season until mid-November.
RK--Dad I am, but it's the 6 grandchildren that keep me young. Surely you are tougher than this. We all enjoy your posts. If you cut and run these people will still talk about. Stick around and give us all another point of view.
Did RK's post get edited? I don't see where he actually called Justin any names. He did call Port Huron names, but I didn't think that was against the rules. That said, I don't agree with his assessment of them. It's best not to taunt those who nearly handed you your hat, and rightfully so.
As for the predictions, Cohn predicted that Flint would win at this time in 2007-08. Sure, that seems laughable now, but they were pretty strong to begin that year. The moral of this tale is that predictions are just speculation and opinion. As they say, "Nobody knows nothing", so don't read too much into it.
