RK-Sure people go to the Pre-Season Games. You will see some of the hardest work done by players who are fighting for spot on the team. I'll be there! I like to say "Hockey Purests" go to the pre-season games. It really isn't about winning or losing. It is more to evaluate new or young players. I wouldn't even look for Al Sims to be behind the bench. Colin Chaulk most likely will be there. Al will go and set where he can see the players better.

Well, I'd agree with that. I take ALL sources with a grain of salt until I can find irrefutable evidence verifying the information. And that's about as easy to find as a purple unicorn.

RK: You're a Malkin fan also as well as a Sharks fan? Wow....are we the same person? Weird....I've never met another person who likes both Malkin and the Sharks. Like I said before, throw him in a Sharks jersey, and I'd be a happy girl! And yep, I should be at the preseason games....Friday's for sure, have not decided about Wednesday's yet. I'm sorta exhausted from this weekend and need to catch up on some sleep!!

JR: Is that enough hockey chatter for you, or do I need to discuss in detail each of the 3 games I watched last night and the two I went to at McMillen today? How many did you go see today and how many did you watch last night? Who's you favorite team, player, and league? Better? ;)

DSchebig: Thanks for the location info. You probably did pull us over...that Firebird definitely flew back in its day. Pardon the pun. Plus my dad played softball, so he knew you as an umpire as well.

Wendy: You know I am about as subtle as an assault rifle, sorry about that, girl...oh well, got the job done! :)

Wendy--5 minute Major Penalty. Go feel shame and lots of it. What does a Unicorn have to do with hockey? Don't forget my dogs treats. I shouldn't have said that should I? Burgee will nail me for sure!

What does a unicorn have to do with hockey? Nothing. But I'll bet it could give one heck of a slash!

Yeah, this free preview stuff on Center Ice is sweet. I was watching the latter part of the Boston game last night. Gotta love that Milan Lucic. Later I was watching Dallas prove how much they stink and my underdog favorite Phoenix beat up on the Kings. Whoa. Harsh crowd. They were actually booing at the home opener.

Hey, Wendy, is the Bruin named Thornton related to Joe, do you know? We saw him playing the other night, and were wondering. I know Captain Joe used to play for the Bruins (or was it the Penguins??), so it was a bit jarring to all of a sudden see a black and yellow jersey with "Thornton" on the back.

Gotta wonder if the Flint ownership gets booed on opening night, or if they just skip any of the formality-intro-type stuff. It's not like they have a trophy to skate around....I know that was sorta mean, but true. ;)

BLB, according to the totally fabricated information on Wikipedia, Shawn and Joe are of no relation, though one of Joe's old teammates on the Sharks, Scott Thornton, was Joe's first cousin.

Thanks! Weird....does not seem like it's that common of a name, but what do I know?
