His contract year I thought I saw someone wrote.. Not much he can do. It's probably now or never for the guy. He may be a fixture in FW if things don't go his way in Sprinfield.

Hope Ratchuk at least gets to play at Springfield. When they called Francis back, he was a healthy scratch until they sent him back. Very disappointed that we won't get to see Ratchuk play this time around.

Mike, that is why Ratchuk said he wanted to stay and play in the Fort, get some numbers up in his contract year. Hope he is back soon.

Blake, a quick question ( and forgive me for being suspicious ).
Did Ratchuk actually leave Fort Wayne or is this a way to stretch out the time before the Komets have to cut or trade someone? The trading deadline is Monday and who knows if the K's are taking a last look at a couple of players before making a decision. Ratchuk still has a couple games left on his five game agreement and it seems real, real unlikely he will see any playing time for Springfield this weekend. ( He didn't see much playing time up there before and David Franke expecting him back as early as next week leaves me wondering).

This doesnt surprise me since Columbus recalled thier #1 developmental D-man John Moore yesterday. That left Springfield with only 6 d-men on thier roster, if memory serves me correctly. I would not be surprised to see Columbus send a D-man down, however, since I think that gives them 8 or 9 D-men on the Jackets roster.

I hear you Hoss. Tough for young guys in his situation. They aren't sure where or when they are going to get to play. FW is a players dream, as far as I am concerned. The fans make it a special place. I only listened to the games he played. That and comments on the blog make Ratchuk sound like a keeper.

Alan, no chance of that happening for that reason.
Komets still have six active defensemen, Dupuis, Molle, Rodger, DeAngelis, Phillips, and Cescon.

Blake: Did they re-paint the ice? I see a couple new advertisements and it looks like a couple others were moved around. I could be wrong, just looks different. Shows how well the ads work on me ;)

Chase said they had somebody new come in to paint and that things are much brighter...
