My family and I wish we could be in Bloomington this Friday to honor Rob. We have a 9 month old daughter, and the day we heard about Rob's death, the first thing we wanted to do was give her a great big hug. I know people who went to IPFW with Rob when he was playing for the Komets. He was a wonderful man off the ice, and from everything I have read, an even better teammate. I know the memory of Rob Guinn will never leave those whom he touched.

I am unable to go to the game on Friday because of end of inventory at our plant. I was looking forward to it, to see bloomington honor rob as well as his wife and daughter Olivia. Why not do something here at fort wayne at the next bloomington game. We could give donations before the game and even during the game. We could auction off some items to go for Olivia. It would be nice for his wife and family to come to the komets game to honor rob as well to give honor to them. Let us not just do it on opening night. Please reconsider it. I believe you would have a great turn out and it would be a game on a Saturday.

I read an article elsewhere that the Komets are going to donate $1,000 a year from the end of season jersey auction until Olivia is of college age.

According to this article, the yearly donations began with the proceeds from the auction this past May.

Plus some of us have been trying to raise money for this all summer.
