Tailing the Komets

Report on Schrock

Early report is it's a charley horse.

``He's got a charley horse right now and he'll probaby be out for Wednesday unless there's a miracle recovery,'' Komets coach Al Sims said. ``He's pretty stiff right now.''

Naurato scores for Dayton. That coach must require him to go to the net alot. Nice promo for Chaulk, looking forward to some heart on Friday.

Warner needs to go. Certainly the Komets can find a better defenseman. Every time there's a major screwup that about costs the Komets a goal, Warner's involved. Tonight was certainly no different. Ugh!

I'll be amazed if it's simply a Charley horse, that did not look good at all but I'm hoping that's all it is. Dayton's goalie earned my respect tonight when he was the only one trying to get Dunner's attention to get him out there and then even started to skate out to help pull Dunner in until the linesman stepped in and did it...Very classy of him

Lardner, goal, stopped a goal, had a goal that looked in and not called, played very well in both the defensive and offensive zones....any doubters?

Warner needs to go...how many weeks do we have to endure the pain this guy inflicts....second goal was his give away at their blue line....who does this guy know or have the goods on....unbelievable!

Naurato has shown his value every game since leaving Fort Wayne. Too bad we could find the proper way to utilize his skills.

Thank God for Boucher....funny thing...he is playing in his third straight game....something I suggested to the K's and to this blog site a while back....you need to have them get sharper and the only way to do that is by playing more games in a row instead of every other night.....great game Boucher.....without you we would have lost.

New Russian skater is a very small individual....saw him tonight at the skate...he looks even smaller than Chewy was.

I am glad we got a hard fought win tonight. Everybody is right this win wont mean anything without some big changes. The Komets are playing scared and the only solid thing we have going for us is Nick. I agree Warner needs to go, but I know he isnt going to go anyway. The coach must like him a lot. Anybody that puts him right back on the ice after a pass like that on the power play says that he is liked and isnt going anyway! I hope they build off this!!! I am glad they won!!!

Wayne - exactly! because the +/- is such an all powerful tell all stat... oh wait.. It really isn't huh? Never-mind.

No kidding....Warner was on the ice for one of our goals and I looked at my buddy.....he said, "Warner had nothing to do with that goal, he just happened to be on the ice at the right time, and all the times tonight he gave the puck away and looked awful, just got erased because he got a +1 for just being on the freaking ice."

So tell me how the +/- is a great all-telling stat again???

Unreal.

OC and Lardner looked like the best players on the ice all night tonight, ummmm, besides some BUM named Naurato. Sheesh, this guy gives effort and plays his arse off for Dayton, what was his excuse again here? He is their best player, couldn't do anything here.

Systems? Coaching? Motivation? Wrong Line? Wrong Role?

Oh right, Bloggers Fault.

LOL

I don't get it.

Warner S.U.C.K.S! I honestly think that Legault did alot better than Warner. So who willl be cut when Chaulk comes back?

Tue, 12/28/2010 - 12:05am

Patrosso probably....and he will rejoin his buddy in Dayton and probably score 40 goals this year too.

Unreal.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of why this team with obvious talent is under-achieving and now we trade one of the guys guilty of it to Dayton, and he instantly becomes the leagues best player....??? How does that happen?

And we hear Blake, Justin, Kent Horman, and others tell us that it takes several games for new players to gel and start playing well.....Lardner looks like one of our best players as he works his butt off on the ice, and gets little reward in the scoring column so far....and we can say, "well it takes time for new players to get used to their new team"......

Not Naurato. It seems that we were holding him back.

Now he is MVP of the CHL.

Explain why he looks so great now, he looked invisible and lost here.

Coaching? Systems? Motivation?

What is it?

Is Brian Gratz that much better of a coach than Al? Is he a better motivator? Is he installing better CHL systems? Is Gratz a better leader? Is Gratz better at getting the most out of his players?

Someone tell me?

very good point, Franke hasn't thought about the coach yet. Al seems like a good coach during the game, but may be a whole different person during practice.

Narauto in Fort Wayne and Narauto in Dayton -- two totally different players. For crying out loud, don't send Patrosso to play with him again. If it wasn't the negative locker room, the bloggers, the media, the coach, or the system, it had to be the Fort Wayne water...

What postion does this Russian kid play?

RunningKomet
Tue, 12/28/2010 - 12:40am

I'll tell you why Naurato is so good: Because he is playing against the worst team in the league over and over and over again.

Warner looked worse than usual tonight.

I'm glad we won the 3rd period, but as someone wrote above, there is still a lot to be done.

A charley horse makes you miss another game? Hmmmmm...
Schrock is one tough dude who plays if his head comes off. Charley Horse??? Hmmmmmm..... Schrock would play if he had no arms and legs......Charley Horse??? Hmmmmm....

I am not saying Super Fan is wrong or is reporting something wrong....

Charley Horse??? Not sure if I buy what Al Sims is selling in his quote.

Why would Schrock need a miracle for a Charley Horse???

Bob
Tue, 12/28/2010 - 1:44am

Even after nearly 20 years, I still remember the incredible performance John Anderson had in that playoff game against Peoria in the finals, scoring 3 goals while playing on essentially one good leg.
