Tailing the Komets

Rockford aftermath

Here's the key stats of the night. Shots on goal by Fort Wayne: Defensemen 15; Forwards 20.

Good scoring chances, about five.

The Komets didn't crash the net, forecheck much or do anything really as a group of forwards. Luciuk had four shots but every other forward had three or less.

This was a bad as the Komets could play, and the thing is, Frenchy has played pretty well. Of the 11 goals against him, about eight have come within five feet of the net where he couldn't do anything about them.

So what was your insight on the Jorde and Watson fight for the ones that weren't able to see what happened?

Started out even and Watson finished up strong, boucing Jorde facefirst on the ice a couple of times. I think that's when Jorde got cut.

Was Watson scared of him afterwards? LOL
only kidding....

We need a miracle.

Still wondering why Chaulker was asked to stay home this weekend. Very Curious to me. He is the leader of this team if he plays or not. Bad move I think.

A miracle? The series is 2-0, we haven't played on our home ice yet and we need a miracle? Not hardly.

Game one we came out with fire but we beat ourselves to death with stupidity. Tonight to me it looked like they didn't remember they had a game to play. We don't need a miracle. We need to regroup and come out Tuesday with the same physical intensity we had Friday. They need to work hard. They should be plenty rested up for Tuesday after watching tonight's game. And be smart. Clear the crease to give St. Pierre a chance and put someone in front of Dickie. Make him work. If we shore up our defense we should be good to go. I think we can expliot them not having Robinson in net.

When Snake and Johnson and Watson and Volters camp out, we have no one to move them, Scoops.

Bozoian? Lindsay? Guinn?

Jorde did get his A.. handed to him but at least he challenged Watson after Watson sucker punched Goodwin in Back of head. Did not look good from a fight stand point down 4-1 and our "heavy" gets pounded...We were very Soft today from top to bottom. We do not match up well 5 on 5 and their all rookie line is killing us...(Tifu, Big Snake, & Johnson). Even Voltera and Watson have scored on us. We are down 2-0 but we are in a must win Tuesday, but I guess every game is a must win...GO K's

The defensemen are not the problem, it's the forwards not getting back.

We don't have people to move them out from around the crease? Last I checked we did dress 16 or 17 players and THATS THEIR JOB when someone is free out front. Its not always the defenseman's resposibility to do so. The forwards need to get back and help out. We have the people and the muscle to do it, we just are not doing it.

Sounds good...maybe you should give them a pregame speech or something. But I am sure the Chief all ready has. That must be why he wouldn't want Capt. Colin anywhere near the team, right. The guys wouldn't need any passionate words, right?

Just a question...
Why didn't Tataryn dress for either of the first two games? Is he hurt or did the Komets need to dress Koning to fulfill rookie requirements?
I can't go either Tuesday or Thursday, but I'll be at the FWC in spirit - GO KOMETS!

I don't understand why Tataryn didn't dress either.
