Surprised they put him on thought he was playing as well as anybody.
He might be playing as well as anyone but he hasn't been able to finish. This is not a surprise to me
He'll get there. I think both he and Starenky are going to play a big part in this team's success before the year is over.
I hope your right Blake as I really do like the energy these two bring..as long as the club can keep using the IR and frustration don't set in by those being put on it..keep all of them around..I'm sure at some point though someone will have to go and there will be some tough tough decisions to be made
i would hope so because thus far both have been shafted pretty well because sims is vet happy even though sometimes its not the best move for the team...
Honestly I think Toomy is a better all around player than Thorne. He is amuck better skater and he plays the body as well as anyone on the club. That is why I was surprised that he was put on he was even playing on the top line with Chaulk. So now you alternate Schrock and Thorne on the 3rd line?
I think it might have had more to do with tonight's game. You don't want to go into Evansville without all your toughnes available, and even though Mele is willing to go, Thorne is tougher.
Blake, that's exactly why I was suprised to see that they put Starenky on the IR this week. He not only brings a lot of toughness but he can play too! Any feeling from the K's as to how physical a game they are expecting tonight?
This game is a whole lot more important for Evansville. If the IceMen lose, they are seven points back so they can't afford to rough it up too much. Komets figure Evansville might be lacking a little confidence against FW because of four straight losses.
then again, Evansville is staring Mackway, Srgoi and a few other toughs. Komets countering with Schrock, Rizk, Thorne and the Molles.
They are going to try to send us a message early. Hopefully we will weather the storm....so to speak.
