Tailing the Komets

Roster update

Olivier Legault is staying on IR for the present time but will not be moved to the 45-day IR. The Komets are waiting until P.C. Drouin goes back to the doctor on Monday to make a final decision on his status, and if he goes on IR, Olivier would come off and be eligible to play.

According to the Komets office, there are currently only about 5,000 tickets out for tonight's game. Maybe there will be a huge walk-up because people are staying away from the Vera Bradley sale during the day, and maybe it's simply because it's a school night. It really is the marketing group sales that determines the large crowds.

How do the numbers compare to last year's? Because as I recall, that sounds comparable. They didn't draw the big numbers until game 7. I also remember the Vera Bradley Sale from last year. Ugh. I had thought that nonsense would be over with by game time. No such luck. Ladies were coming out with trash bags filled with purses and the parking lot was PACKED. I had to park in the next county. So yeah, I can see people wanting to avoid that, but even coming at game time isn't good enough, so...

Also, there is this flu thing. Maybe it's a big deal; maybe it it isn't. But anyone who just blows it off hasn't studied history. Wash your hands like an obsessive compuslive, everybody. And whatever you do, don't touch your face. And for goodness sake, stay home if you think you are coming down with something.

The piggy pox are treatable if you read up on it, but I'm not going to drag down this blog with that. I'm sick of hearing about it everywhere else. And what's up with Vera Bradley anyhow? It all looks the same, except for in different colors. My mom is one of the nuts that goes and wastes money for stuff in there that looks like my great grandma's curtains. Well, to each his or her own. My mom wouldn't ever drop the money I do on hockey and baseball tickets. Maybe I'll just sneak and park in Johnny Appleseed Park ::sneaky look::
Blake: Thanks for the quick answer to my question in the other blog. I wasn't expecting an entirely new thread! You're on top of it! Enjoy the game and dodging the crazy women tonight on the way in! GO KOMETS!!!!!!!

That is why during the season the ave attendance is sometimes not a true attendance figure. Playoff hockey gives an accurate account but still have 6000+ for game is pretty good!!

Thanks for the update on Legs. I wasn't sure if they had to move him to the 45 day IR. What blow it would be if PC was ruled out for the entire play-off's

Quick question if the K's are at the limit for the roster why do they have to put someone on IR? Is it a cap issue? Really Leg's could come off even if PC didn't go on and be a healthy scratch. So what gives with that or maybe I have once again misunderstood the roster limit

Yeah, cases have been mild in the US, and even in severe cases, there is effective treatment if you get it early. But that's no reason to play with fire. People have died, so let's not just brush it off. No need to panic. Just use common sense.

Of course, common sense isn't as common as it once was. LOL.

Actually, it's from a "Crankshaft" cartoon I saw once. But if the joke fits... :D
