We read that on the website, What the scoop????
Can this guy make up his mind? Yes, he's coming, no he's not, now he is. Just hope for the team's sake he's committed to staying here all season and not going to pack up and leave for Europe if a better offer comes along later. Other than that, I can't wait until Wednesday. I'm counting down the days! Go K's!!!
6days,,,2hours and 39 minutes until exibition game 1
I had heard there was a chance they were talking again, but the Komets were not bending on their desire to have him commit here for the whole year. Haven't been able to talk to anyone yet, but I can't believe they backed off of that. Plus, Coach Bingham said Ruid's word is good so I'm guessing he changed his mind. More, much more, later.
BOO!!!!!!!!
Check all the bridges and high rises. Tell Hit is okay to come down now.....
In all seriousness....excellent.
Like Teresa, I hope JC stays the whole year. Maybe he realized the K's were serious in their demands when they broke off contract talks.
Where does this bring the K's in terms of veterans, tweeners and rookies signed? Is there room yet for another vet and if so, what possibilities are still out there?
The K's have 8 vets: St. Pierre, Dupuis, Larocque, Richardson, Goneau, Miller, Rudenko and Ruid.
Thanks Shutterbug.
Just an aside, I jumped on what there is of the Chicago Hounds' site and came across what has to be the longest last name I've ever seen for a hockey player ... (George) Papachristopolous, whose a goalie on Chicago's roster.
My question is do some of the UHL rule changes include jersey regulations (like NHL limits on goalie cut jerseys)? With a name that long (17 letters), he's going to need 2 jerseys to fit it.
Nice...last week I said something, about going to play for GQ..after i posted that..i was like man, thats not what i wanted to say..but here I am to say I love the signing...
GO KOMETS
Jeff, to answer your question....according to the UHL website....UHL goalies will abide by the same standard as a NHL goalie for the 2005-2006 season. All goalies must have the equipment meet this standard by December 15, 2005. I have not seen the new rules for this season and the UHL website is still showing last seasons rules. If I get an update, I'll let you know.
Its not that hard to find a Font that would work with that long of name. Just make the name plate smaller.
And Welcome to Ruid. And according to blakes lastest blop post Ruid is here to stay and needed some extra time.
You are so smart Scoops. I ask a simple question as to what direction Blake thought the K's would go and for some reason I am jumping off high rises and bridges....I am thinking of a couple of choice words for you.
Knowing you I am sure it won't be something you haven't said 100 times already.... Go back to playing with your Enema Man.
Couple of choice words...."Go Komets" ?
Scoops....blah blah blah blah blah.....Always the voice of reason on this blog. Must be hockey season again. Scoops is back sharing his wisdom with us all once again this year. The wisdom where he piggy-backs onto what people say and makes some smart-arse comment about them because he really has no opinion. Great to have you back. Let the personal attacks begin. All Hail Scoops!!!!
Enough. If anybody makes personal attacks on here, it's... well, it's me... Yeah, that's it.
Geez, you guys are in midseason form already. Please don't let that be a bad thing.
Sorry..... I just have all this built up hostility from no Komet hockey stuff all summer. But don't go and label me as the voice of reason. Tony will get all mad at me.
Come have a beer with me sometime Hit....you'll see I don't mean anything by it. If you ask nicely...I'm sure Sebring will buy for both of us.
Lol, please take the title off my hands!!
Like heck!
Beers on Sebring? I'm there?
Knew that would happen. LOL.
As long as Blkae's the DD I'm there too.
BTW-Do you know how to get to Lima???
Blake, what is all that strong language about? (or for those who appreciate my Canadian verbage.. "aboot" LOL)
A DD to Lima, Greg doesn't ask 4 much.
Alright, If I can't get a ride to Limaa then somebody gotta let me crash at their place.
