My point is, with it being down to two candidates, anybody could say anything so it's an easy rumor. Unless someone is willing to put their own name down and their sources, there's no point to them. It's too easy to do it when you don't have to identify yourself or put your reputation or your sources on the line. Big deal, it's a rumor. There's no consequences if you are wrong so anyone can throw anything out there. C'mon, take a real chance.

I heard the next coach of the Komets was hockey great Merlin Malinowski.

Well at the parade today a few friends and I began chanting "We want Bingham" while the Komets float went down the street. Michael Franke looked over at us, chuckled, and said, "Bingo?!?!"
I'm not sure if he meant it to be phrased as a question or as an exclimation...I wasn't paying close enough attention. However, my friends were dead set that it was an obvious "clue."
I heard another unconfirmed report that Bingham is the coach from someone Blake knows *wink*...but she was unable to confirm.
blakes, i heard that you were taking over for 1 and 0 this year, washing dirty gear and filling in between the pipes as needed.
I heard the same rumor...but not that Super Fan was taking over. No one should say anything else about that one. Please...
The more I look into Bingham the more I think he might do a better job recruiting out of the Junior ranks. Really the Komets are going to win no matter which one they take. The one that doesn't get the job will easily land on their feet elsewhere. Monday is going to be a great day.
I just hope that they don't take the cheap way out by signing the guy with less experience because he is a bargain....and then he leaves in a year and we have to go through this again....
Lol and I thought I was up the latest. I think you may run that risk with either guy but really at this level, most coaches who have success don't stay long. The Komets job is attractive because the coach knows he is coming into one of the most stable franchises in all of minor league sports, playing in a great building and with ownership who will do the best they can to put a winning product onto the ice. In some ways, that is better than coaching for an AHL team where you don't know who is coming or going from one year to the next. I think the Frankes will pay either one of these guys well enough that money won't be a reason for leaving. Time will tell of course but this really is a win no matter what situation.
Don't you kind of get the feeling though that Marks would be so much more fun in the community and during press conferences...and during the games. I kind of like that character, especially after what we have had the last 6 years. I don't know how Bingham will be in that department. I wanna like the coach this time around. Know what I mean?
I heard from good sources that the next coach of the Ft. Wayne Komets will be Pat Marks.... Good luck to John Bingham landing on his feet somewhere......

I heard a rumor that Ryan Jorde was going back to the AHL because the scouts read this blog and now know that he is best suited for the AHL because all of the players in the UHL are afraid to fight him. This is why he never had to fight in this league but maybe 3-4 times.
The source is no other than Mr. Ryan Jorde himself. AKA Tough-Guy....not to be confused with the middleweights---he refuses to fight them.
I think we all know why too.
