A lot of us used to roll our own in our 20s, but it had nothing to do with economics or tobacco.

The rinky-dink cigarette-rolling machine my brother-in-law had in the 1960s didn't work very well, and he gave up in disgust.
I would think that those stores would be a lot more popular if they had an automatic rolling machine for customers to use after they'd purchased their papers and tobacco.
Of course, they roll cigars, too, and while cheroots are rolled by machine, legend has it that fine cuban cigars are rolled on the thighs of young virgins.
That'd probably be even better at building store traffic. I imagine a lot of non-smokers would show up to watch them in action, having never seen a virgin in Indiana before. Well, a female virgin, that is.

Might be a good job opportunity for Monica Lewinsky. Except for the virgin part.
