Lol! Illegal hit to the head and the ref assessed a 2 minute clipping penalty on the play. These young refs are ridiculous! It's not the just the calls that are/aren't made, more of the power trips or authority buzz the refs show up to games with. Chaulker isn't old by any means, but he's been playing pro hockey since most of these refs were in diapers. Palmer threw two dirty hits last night that both could have resulted in serious injury, hit from behind on Schrock, then of course the elbow to Smitty's head while he was sliding on his knees defenseless. Should have been atleast 3 games alone for the hit on Smitty.
This is the toughest team the komets have had in a years and we play the way the coach tells us.....im not saying go and brawl but what is the chance we tie last nights game? 1percent? 3 top players hurt this year being cheapshotted or hit dirty and we do nothing to any of those players......Getting old watching euro style hockey at home

Kudos to Kromm and E-ville for knowing how to come out and play in front of their home crowd. They took it to us in a big way.
Kudos to Boucher for taking matters into his own hands when he was under fire in his own crease. Evansville certainly doesn't allow us to stand in front of their net. Their D-men are all over us after every whistle.
Meatball, yes it seems that other teams have taken liberties with our scorers all year. Of course it doesn't help that, in spite of all of our size and toughness on paper, we have yet to send any kind of message back to other teams that we will not tolerate those type of hits. Usually the biggest deterant to that type of play is the on ice justice.
We are way, way too soft and I believe that it is because of the way they are coached. Any time someone tries to stand up, they are benched or put on the IR. Starenky seems afraid to hit anyone or stand up since he came back into the lineup. Gens, for example, is much much smaller but puts a lick on someone whenever he gets the chance.
I have no idea why we don't use our size to our advantage. Don't mean to beat a dead horse regarding E-ville's top line, but we just let them skate around our zone at will as if we are afraid to take them out of the play.
It is time for the Frankes to look into some options to help the team. The current status quo isn't going to cut it.
Kromm has made some adjustments on their PK. They are coming after us in their zone, hitting anything that moves. Our guys know it's coming too and as a result we are losing most battles along the boards. Just totally shutting us down.
I do believe the wheels are falling off. Defense has been horrible for weeks now and Nick has saved them. I believe this to be a long slide.
They are dumping us to the ice every shift.

You can say that the game has changed but good exciting physical hockey puts butts in the seats. Evansville fans got a treat tonight by dominating us in every aspect. Give Kromm credit, he had his guys ready to go and they did exactly what the home team is supposed to do.
Well something is not right 2 goals in 2 nights 1 - 14 in PP over last two nights and QC scored 9 on Dayton tonight. Schrock did not return look like he hurt his knee in front of net.
I think relying on our goaltender to steal wins on a nightly basis is (or has) begun to catch up with us. We are starting to get what we deserve.
whats sad is that in the game against bloomington when smitty got hit he actually grabbed at rizk and pushed him away from palmer so he could get him ..however....henley a 6'7" beast was just layin on a little guy.....its sad that a guy who receives a concussion comes back and wants to whip on someone instead of the other guys who just wanted to lay on top of the players....no one would whip on popko who runs into boucher...come on seriously where is the toughness?? starenky is on the leash and it is very very very very very tight!!!! one slip up and he is on the IR again...

Offthepost, you are correct, no team will win every game. So I guess we should be sarisfied that 2 of our top scorers are out with concussions, LKS is possibly hurt, our enforcers for some reason are not policing the ice, and our scoring has basically stopped. This is a slippery slope. Changes should start now, before it is too late.
no you can't win every game and a player can't score every game, but you sure as HELL can hit every shift you play!!!!!!!!!!! we are to WAY TO SOFT!!!!
Change what Andrea? The coach? The players? Get a real clue...we are in the top 2 in the league..injuries happen..losses happen in a season. Especially this time of year.The veteran leadership will right the ship in regards to these couple losses. The greatest retribution is winning.
