Tailing the Komets

So what did you think?

Did that video kick keister or what? I'll bet that was a lot of fun to put together. If you couldn't tell, that was Brandon Warner on drums.

Honestly, they should have made it about 45 minutes longer so we could just now get home.....I think they might have lost the crowd overall and the ceremony was way too long. The video was ok, fun. But they could have made the pre-game alot faster by handing out the rings after the game. No offense, I just noticed the crowd leaving the arena alot earlier in the game than they should have. And they didn't make enough IC/DC shirts for everyone to buy. Enough negative from me......

I am glad they dropped the puck. Boulay, IDIOT....Rodger smoked him. Why did Russ Smith tease Mac? Doesn't he know that Mac is a fighter? IDIOT!!! And someone teach Stayzer how to stand-up during a fight, and tell Stayzer and Sawyer they are heavyweights, that was an awful fight.

Klempa was impressive. Woodard is very very very good. Schrock is a keeper as he impresses me everytime I see him.

O'Connor will only make this team better. Someone has to go on the roster to make room for him. Who will it be? Klempa and Schrock should be on a line with OC...that would be fun and awesome. So they don't go. #10....I won't say his name, I like him.....but he has to be the odd man out....or is Whitehead? People are high on Whitehead, he hasn't stood-out yet. He has just been out there so far. Nothing note-worthy from him.

Woodard looks great though doesn't he? He made some big hits. Handles the puck and shoots it well. Did you see him skate the puck around the PT to the front of the net? And he also got some shifts with Guy on the top Powerplay Line. Watch-out PC....he might take your spot.....you might have to settle for all of the air-time on the scoreboard pimping your insurance......LOL.

The opening ceremonies were a bit long and tedious: why not introduce all the legends while trying to fix the Zamboni!? That's the thing that really didn't make sense to me.

I also wondered why they didn't start introducing the legends while they were trying to fix the Zamboni. Sure it's neat to have the lights off and the spotlights and everything, but it could've speeded things up a bit.
As far as the game went, Klempa is a keeper in my book. Dude sure is little though... I actually think I cheered the loudest when they announced that O'Connor had re-signed.

Due to my flight being late into Ft. Wayne last night I missed the whole opening. I arrived with about 10 minutes left in the first. Is there any way to post the video on here? I would like to check it out.

Charlie, I don't have any video of it but I'm guessing the Public Access guys will have it on their game of the week on Wednesday.

Boy, I don't know....that was a great game, especially since it ended in a W, but, the opening ceremonies could have been handled differently. Of course, they were all awesome, but what I did not understand is why all the players came out, and then they did more stuff. Although, I must admit, it was pretty funny to see how mad Sawyer was about that whole deal. That sorta made it worth the wait!

I think Rodgers and Klempa are two of my favorite players on this team so far this season after last night. Thomas had a few great moments in front of the net as well, just did not get any really great open shots. Great effort, though. And that #10 showed his hustle, and had one heck of a hit on someone and knocked the guy off his skates, if I remember right....no scoring from him, but I'd keep him around for now, if we have the room.

lets not all give klempa the mvp yet. lots of guys come in and look good early but fade fast. too early in the season to make season long decisions by us, thats why we trust what sims does.

You are wrong Chuckitt!!!!

Klempa is the MVP.....You better know it too buddy!

Wait a minute......No one said he was the MVP.....I think, I am sure of this, people commented they thought he looked good. Not one single person said MVP. Thanks for clearing that up for us Chuckitt....players might fade away....but after one time of seeing him, people are allowed to say, "Hey, I think that #8, Tomas Klempa, he looked good on the ice tonight, he was a nice pick-up....." Or something like that.

You can crawl back into your hole now Mr. Wizard. LOL

Good players never die. They only fade away. ;)

Hit--I know where your coming from but WE need to cut chuckitt a little slack. I don't think he meant the Kelmpa wasn't going to be the MVP. Only that it is just a tad bit earlly to be crowning anyone the MVP. If he (Klempa) plays that way for 65/70 games well now we are in a completely different world. I hope he does but you and I along with chuckitt know that isn't likely to happen. I think I understood his propsective.

Oh, heck, no, we give Chuckitt no slack whatsoever. He wouldnt' respect us otherwise. ;)

On the other hand, we can give him a few prayers. He's going into the hospital for cancer surgery tomorrow. The outlook is good, but but let's leave nothing for granted. He'll be in Parkview for about 10 days and in rehab for a couple of months at home.

"...dont know how many games ill miss but i guess i should worry more about getting up and about!! take care of the blog for me and i will look forward to my nightly paper in the hospital! you can tell the bloggers ill be away awile maybe some of their prayers will help! cant hurt!!! see you in a few weeks. chuck"

He's got to get out in time to receive the Colin Lister Award from the Northeast Indiana Baseball Oldtimers Association.
