The Komets are leading up to this holiday season by encouraging Komet Fans to bring various items to some home games. The first is this weekend when the team is collecting used cell phones at Saturday's game to benefit the Disabled American Veterans in Allen County. You can find out more about here.
The second is Share the Warmth Kid's Coats Drive on the Thanksgiving night game, Saturday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 6. There's more information here.
The third, and closest to my heart, is Project Komet Kare Package 3, collecting items for our troops overseas. It's done in conjunction with the Komets and The News-Sentinel, and the dates are Saturday, Dec. 20 and Sunday, Dec. 21. There's more information here.

Coupons, i registered at walgreens.com and about every two weeks i get a coupon e-mailed for $5 off $20 purchase on fridays. i plan on using the next one i get to buy batteries for Komet Kare Package 3. so what i do is get $25 worth and it only costs me $20. I usually buy twinkies, ding dongs and ho ho's and stash them in my desk at work, but for one week i give it up for this cause! i will try to paste a link to the next coupon on here if thats possible when it comes out.
i know my friend kevin will take advantage of this, he is a big Guy Dupuis fan.
Anybody know of any good sports books (that have been printed) i could buy to send along?
