Steelers, I've been a fan since 1970 :)
I would rather the Bears or Packers win than the jets
I have 9 Steelers jerseys :)

Tough call for both games.

I think that the Jets' charm has ran out.

Rodgers looked good on turf in a climate controlled environment, won't repeat this weekend. Although he's a little better than Hasselbeck.

Look for a Steeler-Packer Super Bowl.

Bears....why not?
Steelers....last weeks game was awesome. Their D is ridiculous. As soon as Harrison gets his arms around Sanchez it's over.
I'm just happy the colts are playing golf!!

I am still holding out hope that the Cowboys will make it some how....

I'll say Pack, cause Cutler can't win anything.

Jets, cause Big Bathroom Ben is still on the Steelers!

Bears..O-Line is light years above where it was at the start of the year, Forte is having a great year, Cutler actually looks like a real NFL QB, and the Bears defense is..well, the Bears defense. The Bears have been under appreciated and over looked all year, it's time they show the world that they are legit. You don't get to the NFC Championships by a flue. Rodgers is an elite QB and Clay Matthews is one of my favorite players to watch but I think the Bears edge the Packers in a close game.

Jets...Mostly because I hate Big Ben...No means NO!

I wasn't going to comment for fear that my picks wouldn't be stat-heavy enough, but from the comments above, I guess I'm safe. I don't really follow football, but I'll watch a game if it's on and I never miss the Super Bowl.

Bears... They're the regional pick, so you have to cheer for them on some level. Da Bears! And I have a lot of fond memories from 1986. I wouldn't mind hearing that old "Super Bowl Shuffle" song a few more times.

Packers... I don't dislike. They're regional too, and their cheesehead fans are always good for a laugh. I had a neighbor once who had a dog named "Lambeau" after Lambeau Field. I remember that, but I could never remember his name.

Jets... Hate 'em. They beat my Colts. Boo! But love the fact that they beat the Patriots. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Steelers... I actually don't have anything against them. When the Colts lost that heartbreaker to them in the conference finals (2006), there were pictures taken immediately after the game showing Cowher immediately going out of his way to seek out the bitterly disappointed Manning and express his respect and admiration for him. He didn't have to do it. He could have just celebrated with his team and given only a few convenient made-for-TV soundbytes to reporters later on. But he did, and I've always had tremendous respect for that. I realize Cowher isn't there anymore, but my respect for the organization lingers. Plus my grandfather grew up in western Pennsylvania, so...

I was always told growing up I should root for the team that beats my team to win. Makes them look better if they were beaten by the eventual champion. But I just can't stomach the Jets. So I'll have to go with the Steelers on that one.

I'm picking the Bears to win it all. They have an excellent defense. And the offense has really come around as of late. I didn't think Jay Cutler would be the quarterback to get them there, but I think he's gonna prove me wrong.

Bears/Packers is a toss up, IMO. Will be a great game to watch.

I absolutely, positively hate the Jets...

All in all, its going to be a great weekend of football...

Hey Hoss,I had the impression that you were a Colts fan and Mrs. Hoss was a Cowgirls fan. If that's the case then how can you let someone convert you to the darkside? lol

Bigjohn, how dare you!!!! LOL

I am the true football fan, therefore I am the Cowboy fan. Heck, she wanted to wear a Colts jersey when we went to the Cowboys game in Indy this year.

The Bears, I've always been a Bears fan, even while living in Wisconsin and hearing "The Pack is Back" all the time. It was the mid 70's and the Pack wasn't back for a long time to come.

This is their first playoff meeting since 1941, hope it's as good as it should be. If the Packers win I have no problem putting my support behind them, I've always like the Packers' organization and the way things are done up there.

I'd rather see the Bears than the Packers, I just think the Pack will win.

I'm rooting for the Steelers the rest of the way. Since my "all-bird" Superbowl wish went down the drain (Falcons vs. Ravens)

I will take the Cubs to finish around 4th place again this season.

I hope all 4 NFL teams lose somehow...hate them all.

The Komets are getting in gear to make an amazing run.

That is really what I think, oh by the way, which one is Pink?

LOL

Aww..what's wrong GM? Your team finally has a good year and the Colts have had a bad year so you wanna rub it in? lol
It's ok...If the bears make it to the dance this year at least they will have a chance since the Colts are not gonna be there. lol

Hit, have you heard the bobbleheads are an assortment with the complete set being 5 differnet ones?

1. Andy Townsend
2. Scott Sproat
3. Artie Keyiaga
4. Greg Puhalski

I've got a feeling that "mystery" bobbleheads might bomb.

It's got nothing to do with the Bears having a good year, it has everything to do with the ignorance of bandwagon Colts fans who claim to be life long Colts fans but know nothing about the game of football OR the Colts pre Manning. As soon as Peyton retires the Luc will look just like the Hoosier Dome...30,000 people dressed as empty seats

Been a Colts fan since 1984. Cheered for them thru the great years of Albert Bentley, Jack Trudeau, Chris Chandler, Gary Hogeboom, Jim Harbaugh, Clarence Verdin, Jeff George, Eric Dickerson, Barry Krauss, Tony Siragusa, Billy Brooks, etc....

I have lived and died them since the first season in Indy, and I will say there were plenty of bad years.

I too get ticked to watch all of these bandwagon jumpers hop onto the Peyton Manning Train....most of these people hated football or didn't knwo anything about it pre-Manning years, and they all claim to be huge Colts fans when they are winning and successful.......

Kind of like some Komet Fans who jumped on the last 3 years too.

Oh well.

Life goes on.

There are as many Jump on the Bandwagon fans for any team as the next team. We see more of the Colts fans, because we live close to them.

Ask Yankee and Red Sox Fan......LOL

I might have just started Blog War 2011.....

GM..I'm far from a "Bandwagon Fan". Like Hit,I've cheered them since '84. Sorry to get your bears panties in a bunch. LMAO

Bigjohn
Tue, 01/18/2011 - 9:52pm

GM..Don't you think there are bandwagon Bears fans who knew everything about the bears prior to the Urlacher days? Every team has their bandwagon fans. I'm just as tired as you when bandwagon fans claim their team is the best team. All I heard was "The Bears will be a dynasty now that the Bears traded for Cutler". The Bears didn't get where they are now becasue of Cutler. The defense is why they are in the NFC Championship game. Good luck to them because I feel it will take more then the defense to beat the Packers Sunday.

Did I say that you were a bandwagon fan? Do you always jump to put words in others mouths or is today a special occasion? Colts fans are known around the NFL to be ignorant and with good reason. So many Colts fans have no clue who the QB was before Manning and think Marshal Faulk was "that guy from St Louis" and the list goes on and on. Then theres their knowledge of the rules which is completely laughable. Northeast Indiana was Bears and Lions country until the Colts started winning. I can honestly say that ATLEAST 85% of Colts fans know nothing about the team prior to 1997. I can't stand the Colts but can still tell you who took the last snaps before Manning took over.

Yes you are correct, they are Bears bandwagon fans...They're some of the same that were rooting for the Colts when the season started. The amount of Bears bandwagon fans fails greatly to those of the Colts and no, not simply because we are in Indiana
