I just heard from someone at Lutheran Health Sports that a AAA youth team from Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Pa., just stopped to practice on their way to play in a tournament in Chicago. That's the first time something like that has happened since Canlan opened.

Good for Canlan--Wilkes-Barre has quite a hockey program at many different levels--way to get on the map Ft. Wayne!
Krackers..what you don't understand is in the hockey world ft Wayne has already been on the map with highly successful programs over the years..our own youth teams do the exact same thing on occasion depending where and when they play...a triple A team stopping to practice is nothing special ...our youth programs here have already won several big tournaments at various sites including Cleveland and Indianapolis defeating teams from Chicago , st Louis, Toronto and so forth...unfortunately they just don't get much recognition outside the arena.
