The Komets learned Thursday that forward Matt Syroczynski has been re-called to the AHL's Norfolk Admirals. Wednesday the left winger returned to Fort Wayne after an 18-game stint with Norfolk and scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-2 loss to the visiting Port Huron Icehawks.
It is uncertain how long Syroczynski's stay will be with Norfolk. The next three games for Norfolk are home games this Friday, Saturday and Wednesday.

Good for him
that sucks
Hope they find someone to replace his scoring and ability to snipe in front of the net. He is a good player. I wish Aquino would stop big-timing us and just realize that he would be worshiped here and sign a contract with us. He would make a big difference in this team. Like him or not, he is a very good scorer.
Good for Matt... Best of luck!
good luck to him, but that sucks for the Ks!!!
All that time in travel and then he has it to go right back...
Put him someplace and leave him there.
We need to start scoring some goals or we are going to end up right where we are.
Sure makes you wonder about the management in Norfolk, doesn't it? Hope he doesn't have to spend Christmas in a hotel.
Blake, A another day another city. That really hurts our scoreing The guys are looking like they are trying to hard. We need to push to the net more.
Congrats to Matt! We will miss him here, but good luck!
Wow, that's freaky. Remember when Curadeau came back from Norfolk last December, and everyone was so excited to have him back because the K's were struggling, but then he was called up again, like, the next day? And if memory serves, the K's gave up a lead and lost in that game too, except it was to Kalamazoo.
Oh wait. I've got the info right here. That was the night of the infamous shootout from hell -- December 29, 2008. Bobblehead doll night. Also my first appearance on the Game of the Week. :D
I can see why Norfolk needs help... Tampa's 2 top goal scorer's are day to day with injuries (Steven Stamkos and Ryan Malone) so I'm sure they recalled 1 to 2 players just in case...
Thanks for that info, JR....a lady at work asked me why they would turn that around so fast on him, and I told her that I imagined there had probably been an injury at the NHL level, and she did not quite get my explanation of the players had to be shuffled, I don't think, but that's ok. I knew what I meant!
