Stan was a very tough hardnosed player. He always gave everything he had to give. He always treated people like me with respect and politeness. Just a classy guy. I wish him the very best in his future.

He always seemed to act professionally. For example, that kid who sat behind their bench with his face on the glass and that sign up about "Just like 2008"; One good thump on the glass and that kid would've ate that sign, but Drulia just looked at him and even acknowledged him at one point.
Did anyone read the comments below that article? And people think that the Fort Wayne bloggers are bad and ungrateful...

To bad, Stan Drulia is a good coach and always puts competitive teams on the ice, anyone know if he is done coaching for good or just trying to get out of the I and move up the ranks?

Why are you guys assuming Dakota's reference to the Yankees is a negative statement? It could just as easily be a positive one.

Blake, after reading it again and then reading your post, you just might be right. If it was meant in a positive light then I apologize.

LOL....Jungle Monkey, I am sorry for the loss of your "friend". I am sure you will fill the void left behind, however, knowing you....I'll be sure to try to get seats near your area for at least one of the finals games so I can join you and your friends in 215 in saying hello to all the Flint players and their coach. Maybe Savage can join us? That would be awesome!

Great idea. I'm offering one of my seats to Savage. I want a front row seat if he and Mike Franke duke it out!

I think that Drulia's departure is a sure sign of how much trouble the IHL is in. It is my opinion that this move is more about a lack of confidence in the ability of the Port Huron franchise and the league overall to survive.

Bull crap. It says everything about Stan wanting to make some moves and not being allowed to.

Blake, you are obviously closer to the situation, so you may very well be right. However, if Drulia was not allowed to make moves that he wanted, aren't finances or lack thereof the likely reason?

Not in the least. PH's owner is likely the wealthiest person in the IHL.
