Well, I'm back. Please hold your applause (kidding). Since there is absolutely nothing going on as of this moment, and I'm tired of reading all the sniping, I thought I'd start out with posting the rules again.
Here they are:
1. I'll be making them up as I go. I'd much prefer to answer questions from you than spout off all the time. I'm sure you'd much prefer that as well.
2. I will update it as much as I can, but I'm not going to promise every day. It would help if there were plenty of questions to answer. Hint, hint.
3. I'm going to talk about all aspects of hockey, and not just limit it to the Komets.
4. I don't pretend to be “The expert,'' but I do think I know whom to ask when there are questions. I'll let them be the experts as much as possible. I'm much more comfortable being the conduit.
5. I know this is probably taboo and naive, but I'd prefer if posters use their names, at least their first names. I like to know who I'm talking to, especially since you know who I am and I have to stand up to the things I write/say. I'm asking the courtesy of you doing the same. STILL WAITING ON THIS ONE.
6. Please give me suggestions on what you'd like to see here. This is for you, after all. I have plenty of other things that need doing to spend time mouthing off, and I'm guessing no one wants to read me preach.
7. If you have any Komets history questions, I'll do my best to answer them, and I think we can have a lot of fun with those. I might even start some kind of trivia contest later if you are interested.
8. Quit calling each other names. You all have the same primary interest, for gosh sakes.
9. If you haven't gathered yet, I'll win all arguments because I'll cheat. Suddenly your posts will magically disappear if I feel it's necessary.
10. I make all the rules and they can change whenever I feel like it. Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!! Or if someone bribes me with 1 million dollars!

Let me be the first one to welcome you back. It has been crazy without you and quite frankly I stopped coming to this site. I hope there is more Komet related news in the near future as all fans are I am sure. Once again welcome back and thanks for restoring some sort of order.
Where'd all the nonsense posts go? I cant say I miss them, but I wasnt expecting the site to look like this when I popped in.
Just heard from my hero Dean Pantazi that Dupuis and Dombkewicz(sp?) are close to signing. I really hope thats true, and if it is, I like how the D is shaping up so far.

I'm glad that Domber is in the mix, I thought he played well in his time here. I'm also hearing of other names signed or close..but they will remain nameless, because It obviously can't be confirmed..

A question for Blake -
Earlier you said the Komets kind of like to tweak their uniforms for special occasions (this being the 55th year) - any word yet on what they have in mind? Hopefully nothing like Dan D. Bear, the Indiana Komets or the 50th anniversary jerseys.
Glad you're back Blake. Watching the blog the last few weeks was like watching Kerry Toporowski trying to do a crossover. Very painful.
Blake, I hope that you enjoyed your vacation and welcome back. I think some of the gang were getting restless with the lack of any news, the weather, etc. and got a bit carried away.....I know, I'm not innocent either....(though I did get a good laugh out of some of the postings!) I have an idea for your consideration......how about asking us what kind of special events, promotions, etc. the team should have to celebrate its 55th anniversary.

I was on OHIC and read a rumor that Fort Wayne IN. was getting a minor league hockey team. Is there any truth to that?

Domber sure turned heads from when he first became a Komet. Remember how everyone (myself included) was so worried/curious about why he played for so many teams.

Hit, I'm glad to see your idea of silly fun is mocking someone until the rest of want to vomit. I can deal with a few comments back and forth, but I do believe that you and a few others took it a bit too far with the hounding of Komet Warrior. I usually enjoy logging on and reading over the blog, but that was ridiculous and not alot of fun to read. Hopefully we will have some hockey or some other news of interest to talk about so we don't have to drift back into that conversation.
Well I'm glad its a free country so you dont have to read any post that you dont want to.... Just like Blake is free to place any restrictions on his blog that he wants to... Its always easy to stand up and chastise someone after someone else has done it first. That comment should have been made a week ago if you truly thought it was that bad...

While I wasn't all to much of a fan of what the blog became the last week either, I (and being on vacation it is possible I missed something) don't remember KW ever complaining. To me, this was two "anonymous" folks behind a keyboard doing what folks do (well, when they are afraid their wives will catch them doing anything else)
Believe me I don't bother with the ITB or ITC boards because of some of the BS I have read there. What happened here, while not the best thing wasn't that bad. I think if KW had come out and said he was truly offended people here would have stopped. He wasn't the only one attacked last week but I think everyone took it for what it was. And it gave us all an appreciation for what this blog is 99.9% of the time; A safe and fun place where everyone even is disagreement respect each other
