Blair Stayzer is reporting on his Facebook page that he has signed with the Komets. I asked David Franke about this and he said, "We're talking to him, but nothing has been finalized. I expect him to sign here, that's the way it's leaning, but I don't have any paperwork yet. Then I have to get it approved from the league. I don't know when I'll get that."

Robin BigSnake had issues with a house he had bought & that kept him out of hockey last year.HE is looking to play this year./ My friend Matt would rather look at the jeep girls than watch hockey.

As for the other comments, I'd get on your case for assuming the Jeep Girls are just pretty faces, except that I'm guilty of that myself. I suppose it isn't so much their pretty faces as their vacant expressions. But I'm sure they make/will make great Stepford Wives.
There is one pretty face in there, as for the others, more talent please. Have we really sunken to discussing them on here? Can't we at least talk about Icy or something?? I didn't see him do his slide across the ice while doing a hand stand on a folding chair once last season... Was I just not paying attention??

I think perhaps we didn't see the Icy chair hand stand because of the new scoreboard. It was very obvious that Icy got less face time once that thing took over. Don't get me wrong, the new scoreboard is much better than the old Lite Brite they used to have.

I just re-read my post about the TRF Parade, it was no knock about the Komets....more of a knock on the TRF Parade people. The Komets won back to back Kups and I would think they could have marketed that better in the parade. Why didn't they offer up some convertible car club with most if not all of the Komet Players in a car each during the parade? I would think the Komets deserve that in this town. What else do you think of when you think about what is big in this town?

Like I said, there is one out there that I'd consider cute or at least good looking. None of them really make me desire going out to purchase a Jeep.
As far as the parade goes, is it really the TRF Parade committee's job to determine how the Komets will be presented, or is that more of a Komets' organization decision. The parade committee doesn't tell people what to put on their floats or how to design them. If the Komets wanted to have something more for their players and their recognition, they would have had to design and impement that themselves. TRF has no bearing on how any of that goes down.
however, in all fairness, i was not there so i cannot comment on how good or bad the display was, Jeep girls or not. Didn't this used to be a hockey blog? hahahaha!

if i'm getting a gas-guzzler, make it a real one. i'll take a Hummer. not one of the sissy H2 or H3's either, i want the real deal original. If i'm limited to a car, let's just make it a McClaren F1 and be done with it.
