Take this mandate and shove it

This is a big deal and good to hear on an otherwise bad-news Friday:

An appeals court ruled on Friday that President Barack Obama's healthcare law requiring Americans to buy healthcare insurance or face a penalty was unconstitutional, a blow to the White House.

The Appeals Court for the 11th Circuit, based in Atlanta, found that Congress exceeded its authority by requiring Americans to buy coverage, but also ruled that the rest of the wide-ranging law could remain in effect.

This is the massive challenge joined in by 26 states, including Indiana. We all know the case is headed for the Supreme Court and that the outcome will likely depend on which side of the bed Anthony Kennedy gets out of on the day of reckoning. Still, it's a heartening ste

It's a shame we have a Supreme Court that is so politically polarized that eight of the nine votes are utterly predictable.
That said, I'm guessing your side will win. Kennedy isn't completely predictable, but he tends to lean right.

FUTURE NEWS HEADLINE:

"Today, the EPA mandated that every American must purchase an electric automobile or face stiff penalties. Even those who don't currently drive must participate in this program in order to create a large enogh demand to make the electric cars economically viable."

Seriously, how would this be any different than what they are doing with healthcare?
