Tailing the Komets

Tentative Alumni lineup

You can see the whole thing here.

If you're of a certain age, you don't want to look at it because you will immediately feel 20 years older than you are by looking at the players' ages. I know I'm not that old, so how in the world can they be? LOL.

The Red Wings should definitely take a look at the waiver wire because they can use some help. That's why I don't get excited about Legends games until immediately beforehand because you never know who will actually show up. Anybody in the world can say they'll show up but will they actually do it?

Blake, you are absolutely correct. I should have never looked at the ages of the players. I was nine years old (1961) when I saw my first Komets game. I am lucky enough to remember the Long, Thornson, Repka era. I have followed them all this time. I felt pretty good when I read your article. But now, after seeing their ages listed, I think I should find a good rest home or at least lay down.

LOL, great stuff, Alan.

BTW, George Bowman is the grandson of a former Red Wings player and is not related to the former coach. He's the secretary of the Red Wings alumni association.

The Komets say there are more than 8,000 tickets out already for Saturday's game and expect it to be sold out by Saturday afternoon, so if you haven't already, get your tickets soon.

The Komets are making a donation to the Komets Legends fund which they use to send flowers to funerals and such.
