That format is a joke as it pertains to the traditional play-off structure. The travel aspect in that format is brutual. Why not play a Friday home and Saturday off, Sunday Home. Then Wednesday away, Friday away.

Just wanted to let you all know that the league cracked down on me for my "reprehensible behavior" and my response to Robin Bouchard's "injury" during the last game. As Blake saw tonight, my mom was required to sit by my side for 2 periods to make sure that I was nice to everyone on the ice at all times. She did want to know however why I did not play the (as she puts it) "you suck" song when the Komets scored. BTW, she thinks Bouchard is a wuss too! True story. Love you mom!!! She's been going to games since the early 60's with my dad and her favorite song that I play is " Flagpole Sitta' ". I couldn't make this stuff up.
That was the second-funniest thing I saw all night next to the Exorcist. That was just too funny! I think I pulled something laughing at that. I may have to go on IR.
I assume the 1-1-1-1... business is mainly because of the MC? As I recall last year, they were too busy with graduations and such to give the Komets a Saturday home playoff game. :P

If we play Kzoo, the 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 format isn't all that bad; but if it's Musky, it definitely should have been 2-3-2.
Anyone else notice they ran 2 seconds off the clock when they dropped the puck last night. That was neat.
The Freedom still plays in Fort Wayne?? I'll be honest, I can't go into the Jungle and watch them "play" after a seson of hockey. Nowhere near the excitement and I know their crowds aren't big enough to justify not having a playoff game on those nights.
KometsPA: Does it bother you that the refs can monitor you but miss so much on the ice? What can hurt a player more? Something played over the intercom or a ref looking the other way when a player takes a cheap shot on someone else on the ice? What a joke! Can they actually penalize you for that? Would it be fines or what?

Come on people! Get real!! The IHL did nothing to KometPA. I have known his parents since before he was born. (Maybe I shouldn't have said that) They are great people. His dad my have hit him to many times with a golf club or a paint bucket. The game clock ended up on 2 seconds because we can not turn it off until the ref blows the whistle. It just took that long. It was a nice touch wasn't it? The only time the ref's complain about the PA is if they play Three Blind Mice or degrade them. I will assure you they have all they can do just keeping up with the game.
