Am waiting to go on the road during the playoffs. The Todd Robinson getting the MVP just continues to show how its all about scoring and nothing about your impact on the overall quality of the team. Yeah they wouldnt be as good if he was not out there but come on you have 112 points and are only a plus 12? P.C. Drouin has 98 points and is a plus 27!! Jon Booras is at 100 Points and is a -5. Lets really look at the whole game Boucher was the best pick for MVP and the People that Voted are Blind to think otherwise.

Just a couple of quick thoughts. I was a little surprised that the K's seemed so lethargic on the ice last night. Each game is huge for them if they want to capture the Huber Cup. Nothing is guaranteed. During the last three games it seems that the "spark" has gone out. Maybe they think they are so good that they can turn it on whenever they want. That type of thinking and that style of playing will come back to haunt them if they are not careful. Al Sims needs to light a fire under them quickly. You want to go in to the playoffs with a "swagger" but also have intensity. Too many times they are getting beat to the loose pucks. Too many times they seem more interested in making the "perfect" pass than to fire the puck on goal and have everyone follow it to the net for a rebound. This team has a chance to be really good. They have all the necessary ingredients. It would be a shame if a lack of desire or intensity derail them from the Huber or Turner Cups. They are a very good hockey team. Still, they are not that good that they can expect to just "show up" to win. On another note. Congratulations to Guy Dupuis. What a classy gentleman. Leo Durocher once said, "Nice guys finish last." Guy Dupuis, through his dedication to his family, church, community, Komet organization, and teammates prove Durocher's statement WRONG.

Ditto! As I posted earlier, Boucher got robbed. This team did a complete 180 once Bouch got on a tear (and having Chaulker back certainly helped). Brandon is right...it's all about scoring and nothing to do with an individual's impact on their team. Whatever!

There does seem to be a bias against goalies. I've read about that in regards to handing out NHL awards as well. Apparently, voters typically have far less interest in those who keep the puck out of the net rather than putting it in.

Okay, I already posted this link elsewhere, but I just finished adding the rest of the pictures to it, so I'll post it again here. If you didn't know, I have a Flickr account that I've dedicated to pictures of the Komets. They can be viewed by the set in slideshows or individually, where you can also read my attempts at humorous titles/captions. The slideshow link is in the upper right. I have pics going back to last spring, too. Click on the sets link in the upper left for that. I still have a standard film camera, but I do what I can. I think at least a few in each set are pretty decent.

BTW, I am expecting to have slideshows up for the March 28 game (vs. Port Huron) and April 4 game (vs. Muskegon) within the next few days.

Here is the problem with the play-off line up we have we don't have enough grinders we are made up a speed guys and they will avoid banging the body because the feel they can out skate them. That is why we will miss guys like Woods and Reynolds from last years squad. That is what we lack but have as much speed as anyone. On a side not I like the line of Varone, Hodgman, and O'Conner last night. That line could be really fun to watch in the play-off's

So what do I think, the IHL MVP award has turned into a wet booger, you just can't seem to flick it off of the person who scores the most points. Nick Boucher and the great fans of the fort wayne komets were robbed.
