Can the Bungee Cord Corporation sponsor Kevin? Like maybe they can put bungee cords in as his skate laces instead of regular skate laces, and we can tie him to the pipes with those....then he can wander out just so far and then....SNAP! He's right back where we want him. LOL....
And Hit, if you hang that sign, I'm coming to sit with you. Can we write "Oh, Snap!" on it too? Or maybe we could just yell that when he makes a great save....

Question. Has Tim been hired by the K's in some capacity? If so, then I guess I understand this "new" rule. If not, then why wouldn't he be treated the same as everybody else? They do not get paid for their broadcast and even if they did, how different would that be from a reporter or anyone else covering the games? Is Tim considered an employee of the K's? Is he considered an employee of the league?
For Dschebig, I know he is an unpaid off ice scorer. While I can see his position being closer to the league than Tim's, it still is voluntary. What is the CHL so worried about?
This is what you get when a Corporation owns a league.

With Dennis, he may be a volunteer; but he still wears a sweater with the leagues insignia... So I can see them saying that he is an unpaid employee of the CHL off ice staff therefore he has to abide by the same rules as a paid employee. They both represent the league, so both have to play by the same rules...paid or not...

Still confused about Tim. I can see Randy who doesn't blog anyway because he's a paid employee (unless that's changed) but like JR says, Tim is media. That would mean Wendy if she were still doing the interviews? Chad Ryan? How about Shutterbug and the other amateur photogs out there with Komet passes? You occasionally take some photos so does that mean you can't post on your own blog? Of course not.
We're just curious Blake, why can't Tim blog and how many other people does this affect that we would normally think it wouldn't. What is their criteria and at what point does it become a 1st. amendment issue?

The way I understand it, and this is a guess, anyone who serves at the pleasure of a team in any capacity paid or unpaid is not permitted to blog. It doesn't affect Chad or me. Tim is not paid, but he essentially works on the broadcast only as long as the team allows because the team owns all rights to the broadcast.
