I didn't know for sure JM which is why I asked the question. I haven't looked at all the players you listed but to qualify as a full time enforcer I would consider ice time, fights, roughing, and misconducts (all types) and possibly points as the benchmarks.
Carcillo has low ice time, 3 points, 7 fights and 1 misconduct.
Also on on PHI is Jody Shelly whith low ice time, 4 points, more PIMs including 7 fights, 1 checking from behind, 1 misconduct, 1 game misconduct, and 1 match.
Carcillo has played in only 26 games this season so it's possible he will pass Shelly, he is definatly on track to. Dedicated enforcers? Probably considering the limited ice time they get.
Shane O'Brian is with Nashville, getting decent ice time and has only had 3 fights all season (43 games), hardly dedicated enforcer stats.
Vancouver does have Tanner Glass who gets somewhat limited ice time, has had 7 fights and 3 roughing penalties.
Colton Orr, no doubt about him. Very limited ice time, 2 points, 12 fights, 2 misconducts and 7 roughing.
Without going through all rosters and stats until I'm cross eyed I'll concede they do exist but to a lessor degree then in the past or in the lower level minors. For an enforcer to have only 7 or so fights in 44 games shows me there is less fighting and enforcing going on. I would love to compare some of these guys to their counter parts in the CHL, but I haven't seen anywhere that breaks down their stats that far.

Bummer, I just posted a reply JM with some stats as examples but I'm not going to retype.
Basically I'll agree with you to an extent, a review of ice time, fighting, roughing, and misconduct penalties, and points shows there are still some "enforcers" out there but they are doing less enforcing then in the past or in the lower minors.
I wish there was a place that broke down the minor league stats the same way, it would be interesting to see some comparisons between "enforcers" in both leagues.
