I really don't like this new site for your blog. It is not very user friendly and hard to get the blogs and comments  to read.

I totally agree, Sharon.  I hate it.  It seems hard to navigate, and I have no idea why they changed its format.

I have to admit that I'm not the most computer literate person in the world.  I asked my daughter, who knows 1000% more about this stuff than I do, for some help and and it has her a little confused too.

Blake, have you seen a decrease in use since the change?

Komets question, what is the status of Auger, and Smith?  No signing announced as yet.  What in the world is the front office doing?

I was going to say the same thing about the new layout. It doesn't seem very user-friendly to me. At the very least, it has less functionality than the way the blog was before. In the past, one could click on the most recent comments to see them in context, but now they aren't linked to their respective threads. When searching for "News Sentinel", I've also noticed that the Komets link no longer works because there is no Komets page to go to now. Instead, it just takes you to the Sports section. If wanted to read the latest scuttlebutt on Peyton Manning, I wouldn't have clicked on "Komets"! The formatting itself is very clean and does lend a certain air of professionalism that I'm not sure really belongs here, but the one thing that everyone has been clamoring for -- an "edit post" button -- is still no where to be found.

I will pass these comments on.

Okay, I see what's happened to the "recent comments" on the left. There are links to the threads above them, which is kind of redundant, plus I'm not sure if it would be listed if someone commented on a post that isn't recent. Also, it is a little confusing that the JG uses drop down menus to get to their blogs while this new layout of the NS requires you to actually click on "blogs" and then click again on the "Komets Blog". At first I kept waiting for a drop down menu to appear, wiggling the mouse around, wondering what the heck the hold-up was. I know this will sound ridiculous, but it feels tedious to have to do so much actual clicking to get where I want to go.

Wendy, is this what you are talking about:

Good, you do still have a dedicated Komets page. What I was talking about was when you do a search for "News Sentinel" in Yahoo, it comes up with the frontpage link plus a list of secondary links within the site that you can visit including a "Komets" specific link. In the past, that link always went directly to the Komets part of the site. Now it goes to the sports section only. I guess you can click from there to get to the right page, but I didn't notice the horizontal menu. I was just baffled as to why it was talking me to the sports section, so I assumed the Komets page no longer existed. I actually went to the Frontpage next, looking for the link that used to be there (on the left), but it's gone. Okay, so you put the cursor on "Sports" and it appears in the horizontal menu, but like I said, I didn't see that. I wasn't trying to get to "Sports", just the Komets page.

I  did a search on Google just now too. They only show 4 secondary links under the main News Sentinel link -- "Sports, News, Features, Prepsports". The secondary links on Yahoo are "Komets, PrepSports, Sports, Prep Football, News, Archive, Neighbors, Business".
