How is Jesse Bennefield feeling after coming off IR a little sooner than expected?
He's played a couple of games now and I'm wondering how long it will take for him to get back in game condition, if his ankle is 100%, and on which line he will settle in on?
Rizk has a bruised knee (?) and a MCL strain? What is his timetable for return?
I know this is just old news, but I've got to think that this weekend is just huge for the Komets. Evansville is one point ahead and, more importantly, has a game in hand. The game tonight is just huge and even if the K's win, will lead to another huge game on Saturday night in Fort Wayne.
I would feel a lot more confident with Rizk in the lineup and a completely ready-to-go Jesse Beenefield. I just have this strange feeling that Bennefield came back a week to soon fueled by the Rizk injury.
With Rizk out and Mele, Schrock, and Thorne not helping much with the goal scoring, this team got a whole lot weaker and easier to defend against.
Hey K's mgmt. I know with Christmas on the horizon you don't like to make many changes, but this team needs either a big power forward or another goal scorer.
One third of the season is just about over. Now is the time to analyze and improve.
